    My stuff

    Howdy,
First time posting. Here are some promotional pieces I inked and/or colored with PS7 and a tablet. I worked on RPG books for several years, took a break and now I'm back trying to do funny books. I did some pages in Steve Niles' Fused! Tales coming out next month from Boom-Studios. C&C appreciated.

There is something very "old horror" about your work. The colors, the ink work, the composition. It all just works. And works well.

I am personally a fan of Paul Lee's rendition of Cy-Bot (from Fused) but I gotta give it to you...you've developed a great scary Iron Giant style in this piece.

Is that an evil Sponge Bob in the last one?

    Welcome to the board!

The spongebob is hillarious...you should do a finished one of that

    my $.02...

#1 - Im thinking you meant the robot to be mimicing the pose of the dismembered guy? I like this piece alot as a whole...The colors, the type, drawing, placement is great... just that repetition of the poses bothers me...

another thing is that at first I thought the robot was facing us... the legs were throwin me off..

#2 I love the design of the BG and again, the blue/orange color scheme... but I cant make-up my mind about the the monster...looks a bit stiff...the silhouette of his ass and shoulder are kind of odd...

    #3 is great...

AndrewRitchie... I thought that name sounded familiar. Nice to see you here. Even thou my nickname here is Bomba, it's actually Jason Felix. Dood, it's been long time. Totally recognized your name and style anywhere. Just for kicks and giggles, does the name Andrew Trabbold also ring a bell?

i saw the first one, and i the first thing that came to my head was Mike Mignola.

thats a really freaking awesome style man, just the level of detail you put into like the Zombie with the Top Hat is freaking rediculous. Very reminiscent of Mike Mignola and Guy Davis. good work!

EDIT: haha i didnt register the guy with the top hat was the Zombie Priest from The Goon until just now. good job man.

    Thanks for the replies,

The Sponge Bob piece was from a weekly sketch group. The subject was sea monster. For me it's one of those pieces that turns out better than I expected. I really like the motion the waves create.

    Patrick-thanks man, did you ever do a 3D cy-bot?

Rascar- good points. I wanted the show the top half cy-bot twisting beyond normal human anatomy, but too often I use the Mignola/leg pose. Looking at the monster in #2 the black on the ass and shoulder cuts some pretty big holes in the image.

Jason-It's been almost ten years. Those were some damn good weekends brother. We should do a con-reunion next year, but have a ways to travel. I still talk to Trabbold now and then.

Aronaxx-I've been studying Mignola since he did Corum with Jones. I was lucky enough to be in White Wolf books with Guy Davis. He's done a ton of good work and should get more press.

DV8-I took a break to spend more time with my young daughters. I worked in a lumberyard and really didn't draw anything for about 3 years.
I've been back hitting hard for a little over a year now.

    Thanks again,
Here's my most recent piece. Tim Seeley's Mr. Hell
