    Mountain Flute Sings

    Mountain Flute Sings

I just want to know what else can I do to this piece, C&C needed...
I know I can do something with the sun ray, tried hard to get the lighting condition more accurately without using exact references.
The original is done in prismacolor pencils.

This has a nice subtlty to it, and I like what you've got so far.

-Main crit off the top of my head is that it's really fighting my eye for dominance. I think you could really do with some separation of your fore/mid/background. The dark tones should get lighter the farther back you go in space. Lightening up the rocks as they go back, and adding some fog/haze to your hills with really help you get more depth. Make sure you save your darkest values for the elements in your foreground. Also, going in and tightening up the parts of the figure around the hands and face will help attract the eye to him and make him your focal point.

The straight lines in the clouds are a little distracting. They could use more breakup and some color. I like how they lead the eye to the wolf (which I think could use less contrast with the rocks behind it), but a more subtle curvalinear approach will seem less forced. -As it is now, it seems almost like the tip of a big arrow saying, "look here!"

Overall, the piece has a nice soft feeling, but there are hard distracting edges that get in the way. -Softening up the edge of the top most cliff face and adding some light spilling over wouldn't hurt too. -hope that helps

I like your work and like the blue you chose as the reflection color for the rocks.

I agree with SubPablo and I think you maybe can do some work with the rocks behind the man because the color looks just like the one you sign your name.

Usually, if the object nearer the eyes, they have less dust between the eyes. So they might have more saturated color.
The rocks on the right side you did well. You also did a good job on the most left rock.
All you need to do is make the rocks at the middle has the color between this two.
If the light source is from the right side(base on the man) and the distance is left>middle>right, the color saturation or the contrast might be right>middle>left.

Hard work and good job!! Hope I can see more^///^
