I first have to say that I love this site. If ever I am feeling uninspired to draw I know I can always get fired up and ready to go just by hopping on this site and perusing around. So a huge thank you goes out to all of the fantastic talented people that post here. That being said...
Here is some of my artwork I have been working on recently...Right now I am working towards a goal of self publishing my own comic. A few of these drawings are some ideas I had for my main character. I am still working on the other characters but would love to hear any feedback. Likes ,dislikes, maybe any changes you think would make the character look better.
Hey deomonte21, welcome to the forums!
You said it was your main character.. your main character for what?
The creature looks good, the gear it's wearing look believable. Woul be cool to see the form of the upper part of its face more defined though.
The character looks too much like mr. Muscle for my taste, I'd slim him down. Try to make him look strong without looking like a body builder.. know what I mean? I understand that it's a matter of style though, so if that's the style you really want it's all good. The swords are cool.. perhaps add a pommel to them to make them look more balanced?
From all of your pics, I like the Swords - great ones for me, looking sharp and deadly Great for a heros or something... Very nice start, keep going man! (oH! And the creature is intersting too - maybe you try yourself in a COW activity? :3 )

the first beast is absolutely amazing. very well done. great variety in line depth and good overlapping forms. the other sketches lack the organization of that beast though.
keep em coming

The swords and the creature are awesome, but I think the dude is a little too stylized to fit with them. Maybe you should try drawing a scene of them together to see how it works?
Thank you all for the posts/help
Olsen: The main character is for a comic book idea I am trying to develope. As far as thwe upper part of his face i agree whole heartidly. At forst I drew a snout and nostrils but it made it look too much like an ox/cow rather than what I was going for. I decided to go total fur nose but am going to do it digitally. I do like your idea of a sword pommel and will mess around with a few different looks. Thanks again !
To the rest thank you for the posts and I will try to post new stuff whenever I have a chance to draw.
Here is a few drawings I was messing around with today just to stay sharp.
This is a villain I am working on for my comic idea. Still working on armor/weapon designs also almost done with profile and 3/4 view head shots I wish I had more time to draw =(
damn, it looks pissed
