Its so old.. why do people still feel so slick with this scam?
I get this every so often, so i would assume the lot of you guys have seen them aswell. You know the one...
My name is >snip< and I recently saw some of your work online. I am running a contest for a simple logo design for somewebsite.com. There will be a prize of three hundred dollars to the artist of the winning logo! If you are interested, please send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are accepting entrees until the end of the month.
Now.. how exactly do i react to this? If you go read the fine print you find that all entrees are property of the company running the contest, and the only artist getting paid is the one who makes the best one. Who knows how many people he sent such emails to...
...basically i find it hard to believe artists still fall for this scam. I mean, how can you justify spending time working on a job just to HOPE you get paid?
