Dude, start sucking more. It's getting impossible to crit your stuff without nitpicking tiny details.

You're sketches are just lookin better and better, reference or not it looks like your approaching each drawing with a better
sense of light and tonal variety. I'm also partial to the super smooth pencil skillz but thats arbitrary Great stuff, LOVE the
second guy sitting down on #694, great lines~* KEeP it up!

Lovely work mate - really inspiring pecil skills you have. If I didn't have a ton of work to do, I'd so be off drawing now.

EDIT: Oh yeah - not a crit but a suggestion - maybe bring some more variation into these faces. Apart from the demon dude the rest all have a pretty normal face - make some skinny ones, some fat ones, long ones, old ones. Just a suggestion though - love what you're doing here mate, you''re a huge inspiration!

ciao dude, thanx for the inspirations!

your stuff is pretty damn good i must say, however you could push the contrast a little more, its lacking some dark blacks.
However, Your drawings are quite awesome and i love the composition of them on the page!

    Dannysketch: i'm glad you're liking it !
Meats: haha, my brother got me the program. I think i might use it when i'm on a creative block
Dfacto: i have errors though.. at least in this update :=) Thanks !!
Miau: Hey ! thanks alot. Colors are coming...
Sartell: thanks ! actually i don't really like using refs but i guess it helps from time to time.
D: thanks for the suggestion. I'll do some pages of these. Though it's hard to get good refs. Usually i get those muscly/normal guys.
    evildisco: thanks
    Burning eyes: thanks !
    Bhanu: thank you
    Matt: glad you like 'em
Asoir: .. babes... i miss them
Oma: Hey ! thanks! i'm still in high school...
    WhiteC: thanks!!
Dile: i mostly use a normal hb wooden pencil for shading and a mec pencils hb for the lines. Though for the darkest values, i use a 3b one. Thanks !!
Mitze: glad i pushed you to work more
Spade: thanks !! I'm 18 atm... my last year in my high school.. if i pass the huge test at the end of the year...
thnikkaman: hehe, well, my stuff is exactly what i wish i wasnt doing...
Blanq: thanks ! i've kept that in mind, but i usually walk around with only my hb... :/

Oki doki. update. I 've become a drawing teacher at my high school I'm pretty happy about it.
So yeah, school start again, and all the business came with it. having a hard time to settle home and draw something.
I found a 60 bucks a5 tablet... i think i'm gonna take it. i miss too much colors, the watercolor pencils i'm using take too much time to get humid. I have to wait like 5 minutes per colors...
    Anyway here's a small mess.
A 12*16 inch Ingres study. The paper is too thin so i couldnt go too far with the pencil. I think i'm gonna use charcoal next time.
The brownish pages come from a small book i just bought. I'll do at least a page per day in it. It could be life of imaginary stuff. They don't look as good as the usuall stuff cause they were mostly done in class... :>
Im kindof happy about them, cause i almost never looked at the paper while i was drawing them

You're just crazy, and congrts to the work as drawing teacher Hope that you'll make money from it. Adn it's fun when you say that you didn't even look at the paper while doing those studie from life, cuz you draw with your brain not with your hand. great stuff killer.

    Hugs!

    the humanoidal concept

mmm they are good drawings if you like the image of humanoids but what of the endless permutations that can result if you well like have an eye where the mouth is usually or an ear for a nose well that is my perspective sometimes but keep up the drawing as long as there is blank paper there is a need for putting art there ...

hi Recursive_End, congrats for drawing teacher.
Nice Ingres study. He's my favorite portraiter. And the silhouettes look nice. Very subtle curves are beautifully drawn. The hairs are good but if you change the rendering method a bit with it could make it look more like a different material. Keep up the good works.

sketchbook - me book here on last page

That's cool, man, thanks for the peak at the sketchbook.

I think maybe you didn't give the Ingres study the time it deserves, though . . . it'd be great to see you hit that a little harder

I want to take your class!

Gonna use a white pencil with those brown pages? Thinking about this too, since I'm more used to working from mids.

Spade: thanks ! School's a real pain, but i'll manage to finish at least one sketch.
Asoir: you're right. I should be more carefull about them.
Pencilator: hehe! i'll keep on drawing that way. lines come more naturally. About being a teacher.. actually i'm not paid .. but ar least i'll learn something from it. Thanks !!
xoet: thanks.. humm your point of view got me thinking a bit. But still i'm not sure about the normal yet. so i'll keep working on it.
Isair: thank you very much ! i didnt really know what tot do about them. =)
Bhanu: thanks !! Charcoal coming in the next update then promise!
Jason CM: you're right. But the fact that it was a bigger drawing thn the usual size i draw on, really killed my patience. thanks !!
Meats: humm, actually they're not that brown. they're kindof yelllowish. But i do have some white charcoal :=) Thanks !!
Viramz: thanks =).. i don't even know if i'm a good teacher... lol

Ok, this update will be the last one before having some perspective studies. I'm gonna take architecture after high school so i better handle it well.
Charcoal too are coming. I just got some new sticks ... it's hard to handle but i'll get used to it... i have to.
I'm not really proud of those pages. they were done while i was really tired...
