Hey guys & gals, I have a question, what are some good books on compostion out there?
As a basic intro to composition and visual storytelling I really like this. It's seems super simple at first glance, but it's actually very dense, with a ton of information presented really well (kind of like a good composition). And, it's cheap!

"Work is more fun than fun."
"Art is supposed to punch you in the brain, and it's supposed to stay punched."
Elwell- Thanks, I'll go out and buy it. I totally trust your judgement.
a great book to look out for is Cyril Pearce's book Composition: An Analysis of the Principles of Pictorial Design, from 1912 or so. i'm fairly certain it's well out of print now but it's very comprehensive and worth looking out for. i found my copy in a skip along with loads of other fantastic books (including a master drawings one and a first print edition of a 19th Century book on drawing and engraving)
