The no shows... my lord. Makes me feel better about, you know, giving 2 weeks notice before I dropped out.

    Ouch guys.

Besides that, I'm going to indulge in a few artgasms as I look these over. Those of you who did show pushed yourselves so far!

That lukavi vs Dougbot match is killer, that's going to be a tough one to judge. DSIllustration, rusty, killer pieces too...

Agreed... They are both great images!!

Wouldn't want have to choose between them... I reckon they're the two strongest on this page!

So many interesting entries, things are getting hot in this round! it's a shame so many people didn't show, you can always do a sketch in a couple of hours.
    Props to
    Dsillustration - you're stylish man!
Chris J. Anderson - love the speedpainting feeling
Dougbot and lukavi- Very nice designs and two original entries
Prostate - I just want a light armor like that! cool design

    cheers

geez so many dropouts! haha, everyone seems to avoid cityscapes, huh?

i'm actually surprised,i think many of those standing against the big names did almost better than them.(f.ex. shadoman vs rusty)

    Lightbulb

Great work everyone, I like all of these!

    Favourite picks from this set:
coondoggle: Very funny (like round 1!) and beautifully drawn.
Prostate Sunrise: Shiny and glowy! I'm a sucker for that...
Chris J. Anderson!: Loads of energy and style... in fact, the same goes for DSillustration too!
tagHeuer: Made me smile... fun characters, and your distinctive style oozing out

Everyone's really raised the bar this time round though...

What's with all the goddamn no-shows!? That's just a shame... I bet you've disappointed all those people who've worked hard and looked forward to a nice contest... a bit of a let-down, really... I can appreciate if you haven't got much spare time, but surely you could spare 1 hour a week over a month-long period and just do something?! Anything would have been better than just bowing out silently...

coondoggle that entry rules. Shadoman's and Rusty's are kick ass. Chris J. Anderson!'s has such a strength. Red_Rook thats a cool image.

But my favorite one is Dougbot's! Its so funny, when I saw the giant missile and the octopus in the bucket being weilded by the octo-king it just made my day

Some very nice work guys! Doug, I cant tell you how much I'm loving the 'octopus-in-a-pail' as weapon.

The Octo-King's serious stance too, fingers out WA-TAAAAAAAA...wicked!

Cheers to all, thanks for the eye-candy.

Coondoggle, that's awesome! Prostate cool as usual. I personally think Lukavi beat me. The funny part is that my other design had to giant people fighting in a city! It would have been awesome if we both ended up with the same idea.

Thanks for all the kind compliments, originally the 'octo-king' was the 'pig-king' and was fighting with a dead pig, but I couldn't get it right. So octopus in a bucket was born.

    Excellent work by everyone.

A bucket-ensconced cephalopod weapon…you can’t beat that. A dead pig in a pail is equally funny (if not more so, I’m charmed by the idea). Dougbot’s is my favourite in the whole round. You’ve easily got this one, man. And if you didn’t get through to round 3, that only means the judges have succumbed to my voodoo.

Prostate, DSIllustration, Rusty and Blankslatejoe, those are great. They all have your trademark styles. Sexy! Everyone who managed to whip up an entry, congrats. The topic was an elimination in itself, if that made any sense at all.

Thanks for the kind words, y’all. Were all enjoying the eye candy.

    Great work everyone!

Rusty, Prostrate, Lukavi and Dougbot are my favs!

The more I look at Rusty's the more is see in it. I didn't even notice the slyline the first time - great composition and characters.

Dougbot - Who the fuck is the guy with the octopus? Insane genius! I just love him. Is he some sort of crazed mollusc cultist?

I have to go with Dougbot just for the octopus guy.
