September 20th, 2005 #1
i probobly wont start the digi part for a few weeks, because im going to be moving soon.
This piece is a differant style for me. usually i do characters that are straight forward and no story behind them.
When i began this concept, i wanted to draw a heretic. because it was a defenition word at school, and when i began i kept the idea until like 70% of it. now its a saint.
i would like comments on what i can do to change this befor i begin the re-ink

You did a pretty decent job on that drawing. Theres only a few things that are setting it back. Refer to the diagram:
A)The right side of his face is a tad too wide.
B)The elbows should be aligned horizontally, if his arms are out like that. Im getting the illusion that one arm is longer than the other.
C) His hands are too small and narrow for his body. Make them bigger.
D)The fabric on one of the sides isnt completted, making it look like its shorter on one side..Unless its intended.
E) I'd reccomend you spread his legs a bit. His current pose is making him seem off balance.
Hope that helps.
