Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
as learning music intrument, people usually suggest a teacher is essential at the start, since self-learning, very hard, will get a lot bad habits and late on very hard to correct.
how about drawing and painting, if only have method books and get tutorial stuff from the internet, will we get bad habits as well?
the life drawing part time course is full in the local colledge, where else can I get a class, or any tutors teach on their own?
thanks a lot
no. no you don't. all you need is a passion for drawing, and a lot of practice. try figure drawing and still lifes to start off with, though.

I suggest you could try, but choose school carefully.
thanks a lot.
I am going to buy drawing for dummies, which might give me a lot tips to start.
btw, why start with figure drawing and still life ( and what is still life, have to be people???),,,, if i don't have a class, how to find a model, i know images are not good, so, the easiest thing might be a disney toy, is it ok?
only a couple hours i post my question, got 3 replies, very active forum
Currently there is a Beginner's Drawing Workshop going on here:
It has already started, but it would not be hard to catch up as the exercises are very simple, though great for beginners. It requires that you purchase the book, "The NEW Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain'.
Hope this helps.
For drawing images from the brain youll need alot of experience from real life. Also it is much easier from drawing without reference, so its good start. Take some straight stick, bigger paper (35/50 cm) and use chair as an model. Sit in one position, take stick in not drawing arm, straight your arm, measure the chair and put exactly on the paper what you are measured.Originally Posted by snoopyleeds
still life is when you draw apples, cloth, pears, dead rabbits, flowers, chairs...
