uh huh...nice stuff Arkady. Cool to see some digital sketches...they are looking good.
And those watercolors..hot damnation. You should start doing those on fancy paper, frame them, and get a gallery to have a show of like 1000 watercolors. You'll sell out the show and you can spend the rest of your days life drawing and eating expensive cheeses

Cody, Scott, Main Loop, shyamshriram - thanks guys.
The first two from the last update are on 300lb Fabriano Cold Press. But i'm not used to it at all. it soaks up all the water too quickly.
here are some digitals. watercolors from this week coming soon.
there is a bunch of things wrong with this now that i look at it - primarely thewacky positions of the lower body compared to the upper body.

Are these by any chance for the CHOW, well they're awesome. You're whole book is very pleasing to look at. Glad I found this one. Keep it up dude!

YO mate, thanks for taking care of me in NY, I had a great time, and hopefully will be joing you guys again for more sessions and some SERIOUS drinking! I wont pussy out next time, and youll see how a real Swedish bindge drinker fucks everything up! That Shiele exebition was great, and I probably would have missed it if it wasnt for your guys. Hehe, my dad was green with jealusy when he saw that id been there, (and to the russian ex.) one of his fave artists Klimt. I think I opened up a new door for him there.
Anyways, your latest waters are nice, I especially like no 4, some of the others are difficult to read lightsources. I would also like to see a full figure, damn it.
[url=http://galleryonefone.blogspot.com[/url] This would be my gallery in Sweden

i find your work very classical. really, your watercolors are a great touch, and set the tone of your figures very well. they have character, and attitude of their own. personality. id say you have a talent, and should look to give it as much considaration as you can. good luck in the future, and i look forward to future endeavors.

I really like the watercolour stuff you have got here. Should start to practise that myself. It's nice to see that you've baldly gone where not many of us here have gone before. I love the Confident and maybe not too controlled lines of your stroke. Please don't go all digital on us.

Noah - sorry dude, i wish we could put copies in but they just don't hold the same integrity as original work. I'll bring my camera with me, but its a piece of poo so we'll see waht we come up with.
Placeboast - thanks dude, watercolor is so great becasue it is perfect for happy accidents (which incidently what all these things i post are)
and now for some Un-happy accidents:
i seem to have forgoten her neck.

Icey, JustinBeckett - thanks dudes. Them long stokes are less about confidence and more about being too lazy to lift my pencil of the paper.
so my co-worker Tom and I went out to draw in central park for lunch earlier in the week. It was unseasonably warm and a great day to be in the park. And best of all I had a good sketch that day:
I'm so in LOVE with this sketch. You're all invited to the wedding next year in April.

Fellah., Alday.J, Ragnar X - thanks guys
mentler - from one fan to another, thanks for stopping by. Now you've gone and made theis thread legit.
Pat - digital has become the easiest way for my lazy ass to get anything done. Just hate all the prep and clean up (mostly clean up) of natural media. one of these days dude, maybe when i get some real sleep, we OC!!!
ZebzFree - um... y..you..'re.. wel...co...me?.?.?
and now for some more SoI crap. I was doing more running around running errands for the barkeep than actual drawing this tuesday. all them interuptions prevented me from really getting into a grove:

still rocking those watercolors..damn..does that set ever run out of pigment?
I'm liking these lil asian warrior chicks you are messin with too. hot!
December 10th, 2005 #88
Scott - i wish it never did. I just spent $50 for 3 tubes of paint. ouch. the halfpans seem to last longer becasue i think they pack more pigment in.
here are some doodles from work:
