Something about it doesn't set right with me (other than the dispositioning of the shadowing between the eyes).
This is much more in-depth and better than your Inu Yasha portraits - you're paying attention to the fur and giving it direction... thus, giving your wolf's head some form.
Proportionally, nothing jumps out at me as being blatantly off... the ears appear to he a little high on the head and close together and the eye reads a little small.
But if you would be so kind as to post the reference pic you used, you would be able to get some more accurate critiques.
Ya, this is good. Just bump up the contrast... a problem I often have.
