hehe, very good start with hitech stuff. You're surely very determined .gif)
the flying machine looks very good (again, flawless anatomy on the girl).
About the enviro, it still looks very curvy and nice, and that is your style i guess, but i don't like the shape of the ship too much.
I guess i'm just jealous 'cause i just draw dirty, evil and stinky stuff
keep it up, keep it up.
Again, really a cool SB

Shyam, your speedpaints nowadays are very talented. You show, as usual, a large variation in your artworks, and they are all good. Still, I have to admit I miss your old drawings, with pencil or pencil-like mediums in Painter, but environmental speedpainting is definately a style that suit you just as good.

nice stuff here!
If you want some advice- I'd say limit your palette more. Restrict yourself to a few colors and gradually add more near the end if extra oomph is needed.
I see a lot of saturated colors fighting each other for attention and it doesn't add anything to form or composition.
Plan the whole composition then lay down color, and then add detail. Detail is just the icing on the cake :3

nice looking updates shyam!
hmmmmmmm...suggestion: it seems like you are going to render this out with legitimate colors, why not expirement (seems to help out when doing tech-looking stuff, at least for me) a little with subtle warm and cool greys for the machinery type stuff, then punctuate that with local color as necessary and for emphasis. EDIT: What artkitty said just before i posted
thanks for posting your procedural sketches. very nice!
keep up the fantastic work friend

Cool drawings Shyam! The blades on that flying machine looks much better now.
Neat anaotmy studies, and I like the indian drawn on dark gray background. Also, that last pic is nice. The blue highlight adds a very metallic look, which I like.
Now, don't forget to do some pencil drawing once your scanner gets well.

I'm liking the bold colors in a lot of these recent pieces. Thanks for the step by step demonstrations too. Always nice to see the way people go about things.
Looking forward to seeing more!

Ah, this one is a little masterpiece. At least in the speedpainting category. And you used only 3 hours! The lighting is great, and so are the colours. But come to think of it, Iæm not sure I'm too fond of the stripy textures you added here and there, but the rest is great.
Keep doing what you do best Shyam: DRAW (paint)!
-
-
really nice enviro in the last post Shyam!
3 hours, quick and very effective.Maybe the elements in foreground aren't very clear, but looks and "feels" great. The last stuff is very good, I see you're trying real hard on sci-fi stuff .gif)

Hey, I never saw that old illustration before! What was the headline for that image? I think I can imagine it though. It's a very good illustration, both the concept and the picture itself. Strong contrasts!
And that 'Love is in the air' picture is funny (when you add that title).
Nicely drawn. But I presume you are still working with it, as a WIP? Do post the progress! I am curious to see how it develops.
Nice fantasy characters, by the way!

Hello, Shyam, hahah, so funny and beautiful this idea of those two lovers stopping time and chase. Lovely and made me smile, actually I'm still smiling. Maybe beauty will save the crazy world, well at least in your imaginative world. I like the composition and how you placed figures very much. And there is like a invisible border between the crazy pursuit and two people lost in feelings. Wonderful idea, very involving.
If you make the foreground more prominent, i think maybe to move it more to center ( this black object closer to us) I think it will add more depth to picture and make a sort of window to look inside. I love the gestures and body thrust of those two, really great. And tells a lot about your sweet nature.
Great political illustration, one powerful force behind two seemingly opposites.
Funny. A lot of means and acting to make someone believe it is really a war of ideas. In reality it is just one person's interest that counts.
I like the enviro too, don't see clearly what it is exactly, but I like the scattered light and dusty air and amber colors and these strange endless stairs and ladders. Makes my mind wander in this labyrinth.
Your art has a lot softness, and elegance, and lightness. Roughness is absent though, You tend to smooth things around you, Looks like art has therapeutic effect for you, for many people does.
Hope you are doing great, wish you the best luck. Sorry for writing comments rarely, I got involved with girls calendar and alwasy think about it, makes harder to do anything else.

Hi everyone..sorry for no updates..i was busy
Quick Head study from ref.
-
-
I gotta ask you...I always have a hard time getting likeness. Anything you do in particular which helps you? Oh and I like the study a lot.
-
-
Nice portrait and figures! I like your figure drawing style, real solid construction of the forms.
Keep working on those environments - I think you should do some ref studies same as the figures. Analyze the light and forms in a landscape or interior with the same approach you take for the figure.
-
-
thanks man, it what just to improve your skills to an even higher level, and you're doing really well!
I agree with artkity's last comment.I was wondering what field do you work in.From your stuff it seems you work in the illustration field, right?
Its because sometimes i feel that you always keep the same "style" in your artwork, meaning you always try to work on things with lot of curvy shapes, soft shapes. That most of the times works, but sometimes it lowers the power of the actual composition.Maybe trying to sometimes push different types of contrast, in shapes and dynamic lines, instead than on similar soft shapes and strong colour dynamics.Hope you get what i mean, the contrast of hard ad soft lines, dark and light in a very drastic way to define shapes could bring your art to a different level.Maybe working with abstact art could help.Hope you get what i mean .gif)
aw, whatever, just keep on rockin dude
ciao

Hey Shyam,
Woah you ve been doing a lot even with the animation stuff of yours thats going on.OMg you are great.Seriously man. I love the love is in the air pic.And also the enviro before that. But rani mukerji feela bid odd.You have to look hard to know that its her.I cant pinpoint the problem but if you take a second look at it maybe you can figure it out.
Take care and please can you tell us just a bit about the animation project too.

Chandan : I have to same problem man..but I think you don’t have to worry much about likeness at this time...just concentrate on the construction, Likeness will be there after some time.
Artkitty : Thanx a lot for the advice..keep them coming..i just love ur work..TOPNOTCH !
TheGnoll : Thanx man..yea I worked as an Illustrator for more than 2 yrs. For Publication. About my style..well I don’t think I have any specific style..but if u r saying so…then I m doing something subconsciously…have to think on that..but I think there are many things which affects someone’s drawing style…many things as in Human nature, Inspiration, Culture, Likes-Dislikes. Maybe im wrong..but will definitely try to break that…I always want to try new, different things..hope I can do it…anyways thanx again dude..i love these kinda comments..keep them coming
Bhanu : Yea im also not happy with her likeness..have to try more hard. About our studio project..sorry man I cant discuss such things in public ..hope u understand. J
Maxetormer : Thanx buddy, J will try my best !
Jarri : Thanx.
Arya : LOL
Kian : Thank you Bro…Glad u liked it..your environments are KILLER !

I really like your designs, drawings and studies but your colours stuff looks very haphazzard and overly saturated. kinda looks like you do a lot of low opacity brush strokes and there's lots of blur overall, kinda takes away from the aestethics you could actually reach with your skillset. If you would choose your saturation more carefully, tried to incorporate it into your composition and use stronger, more firm, high opacity strokes and less softbrushes/blur I think you could really push the quality to new heights.
-
-
Wonderful work on the last studies and on all the last updates.WOuld like to see a more "visible" SP tho
.
ABout the style, i think everybody haves one. Most of us are still trying to actually develop one of our own.You are actually lucky to have a personal style, it makes your work easy to recognize.I never said you should try to break it, i just said that you could incorporate different designs into your work following your personal style, to make your work even better. You'll obviously make it, because we can all see the amount of work you put in your work. And that is great.I guess all you have to do is just keep drawing, and your style will grow with you and your skills.
So, wtf, just keep it up
