Boring? not at all, it's great to see how you apply your skills, besides the hands are very difficult so it's very useful to see your approch.
    Good stuff man.

Geez man, if I had half your talent with these hands your doing, I'd be fuck'n happy. These are a great studies and like Gloominati said: they are the greatest thing ever. It's not only practice but also a tribute to the tools you need to draw, your own hands. But enough melodrama. Keep it up!

I do like those hand studies, but it looks a bit like you took it out of a book. Just looks like, if it's not i take everything back .The vector stuff is nice and i can imagine that was a lot of work to did it right. I'm totally not into these vector things, but interesting to see what you did with it. For nice anatomy references you should try out www.3D.sk . If you take already drawn studies out of a book, you will also copy pretty much the style of the artist who did those drawings.

Hello, shyamshriram . I don't know if you were serious but I took it seriously and here i am, trying to break through your inner world. Hopefully in any outcome of my "analysis" you will be smiling.

you did several SP, so I prefer to use them all.

Well, first of all, you wanted to hear what I think about your appearance, so I think you are pretty confident and happy with how you look. You have two portraits where one of your front tooth is missing, but you didn't hide it, so again I think you know that you are attractive and you have a sense of humor not only about people around you, but you see yourself with the humor also. And that's always very sympathetic quality in people.

Your forehead is wide and not too high, rectangle shaped, I would say you like to notice things around you and like to smile alone when you see something funny. You hair are wavy and beautiful, they are the hint on your artistic nature, they give you this inspired appearance. I think you are romantic and and easy-going in many ways, but not always. There is some angry wrinkle between your eyebrows, you are probably have wrinkles from smiling too, but the mustache is hiding them.

About mustache. I think you like your face and want to be attractive to woman, even if you are married . your lips and eyes tell me the same, you are sensual, women occupied a very important place in your life.

You look very accurate and all put together, I think you are very methodical and organised in your life, or you have someone near you who loves you and cares about you a lot and looks after you.

Your chose bright and light colors for your portrait, so my guess is you are mostly at peace with yourself. Your ear has a very open form and your eyes have attentive expressions. I think you like to observe and probably analyse things around you, as you should.

So that's my "analysis", hope you will find it funny.

Beautiful and extremely helpful for me hands and woman torso studies, I'm really sad that your other figure studies disappeared.

I like this Big nose half naked guy very much.

So thank you very much, I would like to have a link to your website

    ‡‡‡‡‡ Words ‡‡‡‡‡

Hand studies coming very nicely <> looks like you are getting beyond the word hand to the forms that make it up <> we have a great many preconceptions that are based on words <> unfortunately the word hand does not give us any visual information so we have to forget about the word and the baggage that comes along with it and gets in the way of understanding the functions and forms that make it up <> good works!

Hey, great hand studies. Keep em coming. I also quite like the clean almost vector/stylised approach to painting for the mags. Very illustration styled.

The illustration with the guy and gal is great - he is SUCH a cad! And, why is Windows dancing with a dancing girl...? Who's the penquin supposed to be?

Hey, shyamshriram, I think you need to reread replies you got from time to time and think again, people like you very much. And look at post #271. .

I wish you all the best and your dreams to come true, really want you to be happy, you are such a nice person and wonderful artist.

Great update! My favorite is a tennis court. I admire these so different textures of palms and bushes, really pleasure to look. and you created a very soft, pleasant atmosphere in this drawing. Such a striking contrast in dynamic, aggressive players and their peaceful surrounding. May I take it with me?

    Thank you so much

The construction on your figure and hand studies is just so tight! I love it. You make me want to draw. There are certain artists that just get me so excited everytime I look at their work. You are one of them. Thanks.

    Hey, shyamshriram !

Really good similarity with The Rock. I've seen him in comic role too, in the movie "Be cool", he was hilarious, singing a cowboy's song with two half naked chorus girls:

"You say you're gonna take him, oh, but I don't think you can,
'Cause you ain't woman enough to take my man.."

    .
I like the creature ( squirrel?). very nice looking and has a great expression, I can feel it eats something, very, very fast, in a hurry, even doesn't feel its taste I think . I love it, may i take it? it's so charming.
I like the sketches very much, my favorites are chunky guy with a pick-axe, old woman and the last one.
Thank you for kind wishes, you are so nice.
I'm studying your drawings, btw, because they are so clean drawn and informative. made sketches from them this morning. Thank you for them

Great hand studies! You've captured the 3d nature of the basic shapes very well! Solid stuff. I really like the vector illustrations too. I like 21nov17mn.jpg and the scorpion king sketches too.

    Looking forward to seeing more!

Nice Rock portrait. Hey your right with your quote "Drawing is da pain killer" When I was coming to work this morning I was feeling glum and down and all banged up inside. I grabbed my SB and drawn for a little while. I actually felt way better afterwards.

These are words to live by. "Drawing is Da Pain Killer"

    Keep it up dude!

People say that the hands are the most difficult part to draw of the human body, but man, yr studies are really great! Good insipiration for myself, cause I am into hands now. Why dont you try to draw your own hand?

Yr Scorpion King sketches are cool. Keep em coming.

I've got a ton of respect for someone who can analyze a head in motion like that(The Rock). It better have been from the movie and not from pictures.

Hey, shyamshriram!!!! . So great to come in the morning and see your name active on the forum again. It's great, great, great to have you back. You are wonderful! So where have you been, what did you see? In what field did you work all this absent time? God, I'm so glad, you're back !
thank you so much for those beautiful hands studies. They are exciting to observe, so much energy and movement in them, so much interest and information, no less than in faces. are they imaginary? The shapes of the handsare so-o-o beautiful, ideal, those almond shaped nails and long fingers.

And you new project is so much fun!!!! I'm smiling, such a sweet humor! And I wonder how you will do all this, you need the shadows be right in the needed places. I love the proud expression of your rock face, very appropriate for the monument, and I love the idea. Those figures ( I assume, it's you) are very active and energetic looking. I would suggest to add a group of the people ( I mean the same person multiplied) doing and interacting with each other, not only the separate figures here and there. The face is great! Two thumbs up. Hope you will never disappear again.

Yay! An update. Such confidence in the rendering of the hands. That's definitely something I've got to work on.

I love the self portrait. Can't wait to see the next step. I like how in all the photos of you, your face is always at least partially hidden. Was that on purpose?

shyam: I really enjoy those hand studies up there.... very nice... inspires me to do some.

On the stone sculpture / manipulation thing, i think you should maybe not use that greenish color: i opened it up in photoshop and the rgb value (... thereabouts bc there are several different variations ) is R113, G94, B28. it seems like with such a bright, clear day that there should be a little more of a blue influence and that the stone should reflect that... impressive piece. can't wait to see it finished
