    Beautiful work!

I love all your sketchbook pages. The animal sketches are so well done and incredibly informative. I used to use a sketchbook fairly heavily to help with ideas and i'm still coming up with ideas from sketches i did years ago.

The latest charcter concepts are great too. Loads of character in some of these.

    I love this one:

Hello, shyamshriram, What a marvelous work! I just shaking my head in all excitement. I'm learning so much from you. Thanks for your generosity! You are helping me to see shapes in different objects. My favorite work of yours are the smoker, the girl at a slot machine, animals and birds sketches, all your self-portraits, watercolors, tree studies, rainbow painter. So thank you very much

Really amazing work. I have to say that I lean toward your personal work but it's all good. Your self-portrait is great and I'm really impressed with what you can do with Illustrator, I know it's great for printing but when i was using it it seemed kind of limiting, photshop seemed more close to what I understood with traditional art. You make me want to look at it again.

I missed the first that you were doing the ones before with your left hand, I think that's a great exercise, I spent a year and a half doing that when I was studying with a teacher of mine, it really slows you down and makes you really look at what your drawing and after a while you don't even notice that your drawing with your opposite hand anymore. He used to say that your dominate hand has an ego, it thinks it know what it's drawing without really looking. It totally changed my drawing style for the better.
    Keep them coming.

    Hey, shyamshriram!
Huge and very interesing update. What a treat! You are a generous fellow. Very professional work for websites, I think. And you self-portrait, I like it a lot. Very, very truthful expression of the face. These eyes. Looking right at me. Great, great work

dang- that mounty illo is amazing. except for the flag...w/ all your other areas you can see the 'paper' through the rendering...but you've blocked in a pretty harsh white in the flag and the red as well. i recommend repainting the flag and adding some more darks to the face and removing the whites on the background structure.

    otherwise, superb job.

Shyam, your sketchbook is truly amazing. I love spending my time looking through all those drawings, study your use of lines... There is so much to learn from it, and it is a huge inspiration for me to try more. But you already know all this. I just don't think you can hear it enough...
    Keep inspiring!

as i scrolled through the second page this really stood out to me as having superb form and suggested realism. You really thought about the lines in this piece and it shows. The figure has a great deal of form and anatomy suggested through the simple linework, and it ends up as a great piece. I'd love to see some experimental colors thrown in there too! You certainly have a good base there. I also like your self portrait, and you can tell that it was from life. The hair looks especially nice, I haven't been able to capture that kind of hair as you have there. Very nice!

You have some great studies in here man, but I can't see most of your work cause it seems you're bandwith has exeeded
You're still working on the girl on the moon piece?! I was wondering why I haven't seen it posted in the finished gallery (uhm on cgtalk I mean), finish it allready man haha, it only needs some final detailing IMO.

More good work, the first one is great, kinda has an old school illustrator feel to it, make sure you post the finish. The second is good too, I think I like the less stylized face so as far as I'm concerned your on the right track, Finish that thing.
