OK - I can't believe I'm saying this...but I think i can actually get free to go to this.
Arkady..I have some smaller masonite panels that I can give up...also some shitty canvas board (i get a lot of free left over materials from teaching my classes )
if you want, i can bring some. They're small...but they're free!
It's supposed to be a little overcast that day...hopefully no rain.
Jess...you better be there!

Cool Rob - glad to hear you're going
Tiffany- it's at 82nd and 5th...it's a gigantic building that takes up the whole block...i don't think you will miss it. Then when I see you I am going to give you hell for living in NY and not having gone to the Met yet - shame!

hey, Scott, that's great news!!! Bring wahtever you feel like carrying. (also if you have your own brushes you use for oils bring them along. mine are still dirty from two weeks ago.)
Tiffany, too bad you're not bringing your easel this time. But i understand. I barely made it home last time.
so last night i pried the paintings apart. they all have newspaper stuck to them, but it creates a good texture (as if Dave Hallenbach actualy showed up and colaged on them like i wanted him to). I tried photographing them but there's too much glare from the flash. I'll try again when the sun is out.

I will bring some thumb tacks and tape. If we put the thumb tacks on each corner of one canvas or masonite then you can put another canvas on top of the tacks and they will keep the paintings from touching. Then just tape the paintings together and walla! you don't have newspaper paintings, hahaah!
If you want I can bring my easel. I don't mind much. But where is the Met? so I'm not hauling it a long way.
See you Sun.
