hey, Scott, that's great news!!! Bring wahtever you feel like carrying. (also if you have your own brushes you use for oils bring them along. mine are still dirty from two weeks ago.)

Tiffany, too bad you're not bringing your easel this time. But i understand. I barely made it home last time.

so last night i pried the paintings apart. they all have newspaper stuck to them, but it creates a good texture (as if Dave Hallenbach actualy showed up and colaged on them like i wanted him to). I tried photographing them but there's too much glare from the flash. I'll try again when the sun is out.

    hey Arkady,

I will bring some thumb tacks and tape. If we put the thumb tacks on each corner of one canvas or masonite then you can put another canvas on top of the tacks and they will keep the paintings from touching. Then just tape the paintings together and walla! you don't have newspaper paintings, hahaah!

If you want I can bring my easel. I don't mind much. But where is the Met? so I'm not hauling it a long way.

    See you Sun.

    good luck guys!
    i'd be there,
except i have a painting due monday... and... oh yeah, its gonna pour!

actually, if it DOES rain, you are allowed to paint inside the met.
there was an s.v.a. class that required students to copy a famous painting.
if you bring a drop cloth, they will let you set up a small easel in most rooms!
you may need to make arrangements though.

nicolas uribe benninghoff copied a rembrandt,
    hes on these forums.
p.m. him and im sure he'll give you the necessary details.

weee, stupid rain messed up the stupid trains so i was an Hour late for work. Poo

I'm thinking we still meet up at the Met only inside, and just turn it into a regular Subway Sketch Group session. Besides Greg and Irene aren't coming and neither is Dan.

Maybe we'll have better luck in two weeks.

they have that atrium area with the overpriced coffee and cake. I figure we can park ourselves there. But i'm planning to wander around a bit, so keep my cell (561-827-3451) handy if you can't find me.

    alright you sissys.

First off, it's rain. its just water.
Second, I'm not asking you to camp out tonight. Just show up some time tomorrow.
Third, Weather chanel is predicting that at 12:00 PM tomorrow there will be a 30% chanse of rain. Now i trust the weather chanel as much as i trust the Bush white house. I'll promisse you this: if there is rain between the hours of 12:00 PM and 6:00PM (and i'm talking RAIN, the shit that's outside right now, not the sissy drizzle that interupted my morning commute to work today - fuck you MTA!!!!) and if you get soaked on your way from the strain to the MET, i will buy you a pitcher of beer at Brother Jimmy's!!!!
