    What are these?

    What are these?

I see these things in drawings sometimes. Brom seems to like them a lot.

I tried using one in real life once to find some use for them but other than hurting myself I couldn´t figure out anything.

They're danglies. Purly decorative, unless you schmack yourself upside the braincase with one while whompin' on orcs or something. then they're painfull.

They may be lockets from loved ones or small viles of holywater or religious pieces for blessing the warrior or weapon. Very common throughout history and often in modern days. Even today there are soldiers that wear a St. Christofer or other thing to be blessed or for good luck. In olden days these religious tokens could be quite elaborate.

Probably the closest name you could give them is lanyard. Basically a short piece of rope used to tie something on to it's end. More aptly though, (for me at any rate) is that when they are applied to a painting or drawing they somehow magically impart a ton of depth and dynamism to the composition

    Well, it´s somewhat clearer now.

    Cat toys, perfect.

when they are applied to a painting or drawing they somehow magically impart a ton of depth and dynamism to the composition
    I agree completely.
