From the Far Side of the Pool - line to color (MORE) NUDITY 9/18

I was looking through Milo Manara's 'www.' book awhile back and was inspired to do this piece. Working in PS7 & PS-CS. I'll be adding the water FX last.

Here are the stages so far...

    Interesting drawing.

The tonal value of her sole seems too light, considering that it is several feet below her shoulder and has less light to reflect.

Hey that's my mansion! Were did you get a copy of that photo I made when I gave that pool party with Pussy, Bunny, Barby and Foxy...???

Goche, I love to (how we say in germany) "meinen Senf dazu geben!"
(word-for-word: "love to put my mustard in" / engl.: he must always butt in)

Now seriously, that looks cool. Don't dig that tone you gave that maid in the pool (the skin tone below the water line) but the rest looks great!

Makes me wanna jump into a pool... with her.

    Keep up the good work.

I must have been to your mansion in another life!

Luckily I am working in layers and the tones are easily adjusted. Thanks.

nafa: Thank you for the heads up. I will adjust that as I continue forward.

I sure would love to finish this. Here it is almost done. Plenty of things to wrestle with so when I can get to it again - it'll be tweeked even further...

Thanks, Fellah. There is still a few things I need to do to finish this off. Your encouragement is appreciated.

Tom, I'm in love with everything below the surface, but there is such a different quality of rendering above the surface that it looks like two different images.

The quality of the sky says that everything above needs to be hit with some harsh light. The wall needs to be desaturated to push it back, the clouds are just cotton balls right now, and the ladies look like it's a high, thin overcast, vice a sunny day.

However, I know this is a sketch and you're going to get on all that; I guess I'm just saying, "get cracking!" because this is worth finishing! Don't even consider not finishing it; get references of people around a pool, hire models to stand around your pool, build a pool in your backyard if you have to, but finish this bad boy!

    Schweet!
