    he speaks the truth!
your artwork has such a unique design and style.. why use a font of someone else?
lettering everything yourself is allot of work.. i would try to make my handwriting into a font. its a bit of a hassle at the beginning.. but i think you would gain so much from it!

Thanks folks, glad to see you are responding to the pleasure I took making these

Andreas> I might do that eventually I have the soft for it already, at the moment I am just playing with the bubbles and what text I'll write in them... I guess that part will undergo changes until the end of the book.
At this moment in time, it's there only for stand in.

But yeah, I am seriously thinking about it.

    Take good care.
Thanks a bunch for all those replies it helps

No publisher attached - doing that for the love and I don't need the money - NO CONCESSSSSSSSIONS!!!! I will publish it when it's done, how I want it to be published and that's that.
wow, that makes me love ya if anything. as have been said, your attitude is something to aim for. and then theres the art! the kind of art that i really enjoy is where i get a strong feeling of mood and story. especially the comic oozes of this. those whole page images are wonderful. i really like how you have the guts to do those, cause you make it work. great! I would kill, well maybe wound for a copy

Fantastic start to your Graphic novel. This is going to rock. I totally agree that you have to "scare yourself" every once in a while....that is a sure sign you are growing and challenging your limits.

    Bunny Girl

    Hey people,
I am still trying desperately to come back to my normal self after the workshop.
    Still can't sleep
The experience was phenomenal, I had such a good time, met so many good people... I would have to cover the page with rumbling love letters addressed to Melissa who was such a sweet heart and who did such an amazing job at coordinating and saving lives, Coro, Jason and to the Massive Dudes whom I cannot thank enough for having brought me once again to their wonderful workshop.

So anyhow, I'll try to be short, but I just want to send out some love to the Bungie guys for being so cool, Mobby and Bay -- always a pleasure bumping into you -- M@ for being such an easy going -- and talented -- roommate, Daniel and Phil for their great photos, Lorn for his awesome speech, and my buddy Dan Milligan whose good humor I can't get enough of.
Oh and thanks to all of you of course who I've had the privilege to bore to tears with my 5 hours long lousy lectures and portfolio critics, I just hope that somehow you got something out of it.

I can't wait for the next one.

That being said, here's a little something I did today, it's a bit garish and not necessarily of the best of tastes but hey, I'll try to do better next time around

It was great meeting you at the workshop! and thanks for all the lectures and portfolio crit! It was fun watching you paint and I did learn a bunch from watching you.. I'm just curious how that 'flying dog' piece ended up like, it was fun (and funny) to watch you on that one I'm just sad I missed you pose upstairs.. :/

about this piece: ooohh~~!! It's shiny! Love the stylization on the face

She needs two carrot pendants on each of her nipples - then the sex symbol is complete. He who wields the poison dart, is poised in art.

Your stuff is amazing. My friend recently met you at revelations and couldn't have been more impressed with your demos. The maquettes alone are a sight to behold! Thanks for your contributions, a true inspiration.

    Monkey King 3D!!!

    Sooooo...
Monday I went to buy some stuff to finally gear up and try 3D modeling.
Tuesday and Wednesday I crammed my nugget with a shit load of technical blaaah and tutos on Maya, Mudbox and Zbrush3 and after a couple of wanky tests -- like how to create a simple and effective human box-mesh under Zbrush with fingers an' all -- yesterday I did that:

It's not yet finished I did some more work on it today, I'll show you the rest of it soon.

    Hope you like it.

    Take care.

    B.F.

Good stuff Black Frog! I remember having read an article of you about why you haven't done 3d yet. So it comes to a surprise of seeing this from you! Pretty sure you will enjoy using Zbrush for your modeling because of easy it is to sculpt. So kudos for taking the initiative and make this nice model.

A small thing I wonder, is that surprisingly the images appear too dark on my monitor so I can't appreciate all the details... Anyways. always glad of seeing your new work.
