    A cast drawing

    Hello,

With all the amazing concept work I've seen here I'm hoping you wouldn't mind a sort of boring ole' cast drawing. It's what I'm doing in the studio right now and would love to participate and receive any feedback.

    Thanks,
    Smith

Oh yeah, it's graphite around 11x17ish

good job so far! I think the technique is good! Although, I sense that there some very slight errors in the contour, it's a nice job overall.

    Where do/did you study ?

hit, that's just some drapery I placed to give some composition. I was bored with naked casts... trying to make myself more interested.

    Pat,
Thanks for the feedback, yes that contour was a bit tricky in spots and there are some compromises(good eye).

yummy. i dont know why, but this feels really warm to me.

and not wanting to sound like a total dumbass, what do you mean something is wrong with the contours, compromises, etc?

    wookie,
I can't speak for Pat but what I mean by compromises is that the 2d shapes = contours aren't "perfect". Granted that's what I was shooting for but there comes a time when you just have to make it work and move ahead.
