The textures are indeed incredible..the image though seems two- dimensional for some reason. Great creature though.

nice creature design. Textures as everyone else has said are good, and the design of the creature is done well. I was wondering about the light bulb, and the connection to the creature. Pertty much why? I think it's interesting, but I don't get any insight into what it's about. Is it used to attract prey, like fish in the ocean, or something else. Really good work

I think the 2-dimensional effect Ssenkrah is talking about comes from a lack of reflected light. If this were an angler fish it wouldn't be a problem, as there would be no surface underwater to reflect. Since there clearly is a floor, I would lighten up the darkest darks on the tail, legs and possibly belly. I think it will render the form better.
So, I, like, quote the Bible here or something?
