hey sean, well heres my attempt at crit etc, as you know, generally im rubbish at this so ill give it a go

04/09- cow wip- looking good, but id suggest adding a background colour as white can sometimes be harsh to paint against? i love its shape- tis cool

sp: looking good, maybe you could experiment with colder colours in the skin tone?

    september7th:
sketch 1: i really like this piece, it has a lot of mood to it, i actually like it unfinished too. maybe a cool idea for this is that he looks like he's deep in tought imagining things, perhaps you could draw what he's imagining? you could be totally random, well its an idea anyway!

sketch 2: i like your quick sketches- this would be nice to paint perhaps as its quite simple

sketch 3: awesome =] not sure what it is but its great! i think multi directional shading would have worked better but the one direction still looks good

skeletal dude: i think maybe its legs could be a bit longer? just think it would be able to move quicker and wouldnt drag its wings on the floor cool design though

yday: love your loose sketches, pretty much said everything else! i love the fourth one down youve really captured the guy, and im not sure what the last image is but its pretty awesome! maybe push the darks a bit more though, or ink it which would suit its comicy design IMO

hope this hasnt been too retarded....well i tried at least lol

    Hey tie, nice updates.

Alright, I'm gonna strongly suggest you to reduce the sizes of your uploads in general. When each of your images are around 200kb and you have a whole page of them, it takes way too long to load. I'd say 50~100kb would be about right.

    Hey dude!

You got some wonderful line quality going in all of these - loose and active, full of energy. Though I think you should start playing around with colour a lot more, as well as shading. The shading in this last one isn't on par yet with the wonderful linework you got going.

Great stuff all in all dude
    ciao!

Hey there, nice sketchbook. I really enjoy looking at your mechanical beasties. I also like how your drawn letters are working with your sketches. I would like to see more finished work, but hey, that's something I need to work on as well. I can't wait to see more!

You have some good stuff here -- I like your lifedrawings. I can see you getting stronger from the first post to the most recent. Keep going! Great stuff.

nice works m8, your sp are looking great. Small issue, it looks like your blending all of your shadows (which is fine), but I think it'd make more of a contrast between the different surfaces (skin vs fabric) if you regularly crosshatched on the clothes and did smooth rendering on the skin and other smooth materials like that.

ok guys, its been too long

err almost a year since my last update. well. im done with high school/secondary school, and i should be starting at art college soon so now i can fully devote my life to the cause

heres some sketches and ting to get me warmed up. not quite into the groove yet, but its nice to be back.

you might (probably not) recognise the last two sketches- updated renditions of a couple old sketches to gauge my own improvement...
