yeah I agree with ZebzFree on the skull study idé, you would really gain from that. You could maby try some life drawing. Do some quick sketches of people on the street, busses, expressions of beople standing in line at the ATM. Draw everyting dont worry if you dont like it just keep drawing.
I like your thread.
I'll be back.

Hey, thanks for posting in my thread. I appreciate it. Your pencil drawings are your best. Seriously. Post your sketchbook pages, not just the Wacom and SPs (which, btw, are getting better each time) I suggest that you go out into some public place and draw the people, with no abstraction, straight from life. It will improve your head and body structure with amazing speed. Keep those SPs up. They are looking great!

Sedig: Thanks mate! I needed a kick in the ass to scan some stuff from my sketchbook.
I´m gonna start doing alot more pure life drawings!
And here´s the latest stuff in my sketchbook:
A friend of mine, and his girlfriend on his shoulder. Drew this on the bus home.
Another friend at the café.
Quick sketch for a painting
Hmm, well. Just some character:
Some hair-less doods:
Black and white, pilot fineliner on paper.
My friend again, sleeping on the bus.
Some members of the PBU and random.
Elias, AGAIN. We like to draw eachother.
Random face sketch:
Thats all for today, folks!
I could really use some c&c, so if you have time, drop a line or two.

concentrate how you draw your lines, the angle of them, because too often you just "add" lines.. crossing the lines and making "fences"... a suggestion: draw all the lines, shadow/form in the same direction...and to suggest a darker shadow, draw darker lines, little by little...
the main problem i see is the "i dont care" way you draw. i think you need some more structure when you draw..
bah... 2cents... great that you draw and good that you share it

Thanks for dropping by Hurri! You´re painfully right about the i dont care" thing.
I kinda just dont think too much when i draw, i just keep sketching. Gotta start doing some thinking, planning and structuring. I could probably gain alot from that.
Thanks again, mate!

I am liking the sp and lighting study. You are definatly getting better at adding depth and contrast. Thanks for your input on my sketchbook. It is good you are getting yourself into (i think photoshop) cg and practicing a whole range of things.

Whoa Nelly, nice to see a Gävlebo in here!
Nice and productive, keep up the good work. I dig your self-portraits, I'm definately seeing improvement over time there.
I tried checking your threads in the finally finished section, but no pics turned up. Would be nice to see something you worked a bit more on.

Flask, you've been quite this busy boy! I want to see you spend more time one some of these tho. Really find out what you're doing wrong. Make corrections. Put some love into something. I like these speedies but it only leaves me craving more of some of the good stuff. Give me something with some substance. I wanna chew on it.
October 29th, 2005 #89
Fat Kid: i´m glad to hear, was trying to get more feeling of movement and speed.
glad to have you here, as always!
Bloodsbane: Whoa man! The first time a Gävlebo stopps by!
roligt som fan att höra att folk märker utveckling iaf. =)
du råkar inte vara Aylien från GF btw? den enda gävlebo jag vet som hänger runt på forum.
Zebz: you´re sooo right! i gotta start to put more time in things i draw, and make it show.
this update is the last three pages in my old sketchbook, bought a new one a few days ago, and im gonna do mostly life drawings and studies in it, and stuff i´ve spent more time on!
and we´ll just have to cross our fingers and hope it helps.
my two most precious belongings! my ipod nano and wacom.
a quick drawing of a friends hands, like 5-10 minutes:
