    Gettin' away from it all

This started as a sketch for fun where I just wanted to see how old tree-top mud brick huts would look decked out with an absurd amount of electronics and it just grew from there. Thanks go to the folks at eatpoo for their suggestions with this work. Hope you like it!

MAN! All I ever got in my treehouse was a couple of lousy planks for a makeshift floor and a piece of rope to climb up and down with

    THIS treehouse rules! Nice work.

This looks cool! great dimension/ perspective also, makes it huge and a bit surreal. Would be nice though if u put some birds or other animals in there.
To make it more "alive" I see that little man/monkey, but it's a bit hard to notice.

    Hi,
that's a real cool concept design. Looks realistic and exaggerated, but
you've fond the right balance. I like that.

    (Fourth Nail, you're lucky, I even didn't have a treehouse )

Fourth Nail - Danke, i hope you had a couple of mattresses at the bottom. Every tree-house I've seen never looked that sturdy!

    the_elder - cheers! I plan to.

JeroArt - I added the web-surfing pygmy to give an idea of the overall scale afterwards but that seemed like the best place for him without spoiling the composition. Next time I'll make sure I include the scale ref at the sketch stage so that it's part of the composition.
I considered adding creatures to this, but I wanted the focus to stay on the blend of metal to mud brick. Looking at this now, I think that's lost already anyway ;-)

Yodaah- A lot of my work tends to exaggerate details to cartoonish levels so I'm trying to work towards appearing more realistic. Glad you like the balance you've seen here. I'll try exploring it further.

i really like the way this is done, the only thing that i can see is that some of the electronics look like they have no purpose other than to fill, small gripe though. I wonder how thick the manual on that thing is.

Beautiful stuff dude. I'd love to go running around in there.

You should get into level design, if you're not already...

magicgoo - Thanks, I should make them more visible further up as they're meant to curl all the way up the tree above the tubing

    jTumburus, Camstatic - Cheers!

Malachi - Thanks a lot, man! I've been building environments for a console game for the last year. I love it
