Yeah the lighting just doesn’t seem right. What up with the guy with the turbine plane arms usually i got think to much about the weird and wonderful design I see but that one I'm like how the heck would he fly either upside down or with his elbow up so us to get lift.

Glikster: thanks, any other ideas on why the lighting is off?

EKU_11: It can't really fly like that, it's a 'wereplane' (aha, silly concepts amuse me) and turns into an honest to goodness plane to fly. The wings and stuff just stay on in middle form, though I think they can glide (badly) like that.

And now for some real arts since the scanner is running! Moleskines, request for anthro-ed sunglasses (wtf?), and a WIP on a new large ink picture.

A wereplane that makes sense then. Without doubt you have a big imagination to have to come up with a wereplane but then again Futurama did have werecar. Keep up the interesting ideas.

this one cagth my attecion I praticly never do that on OC
I mean I start sketching and erase ideas till I fined one that I like

This one is sweet too, really asum texture work, the only thing that I think
it lack of its, hue changes, *and you problalby will make those changes
as you go along* but still I wanted to tell you that you ought to shift form
warms to cools, and since you said that its a direct sun ligth, I would
suggest you pumping out the contrast a bit more, this pic might give
you and idea or too as what amI talking about, your rendering is good
but its lacking a good ambient ligth to set the mood.

School has assumed a sort of equilibrium, so I've started having time for more art!

    Dreamworker: Thank you

    EKU_11: Thanks!

Maxetormer: Whoa, thanks for the crits man, I tried what you suggested for the cyborg truck picture and it really helped!

    Anymale: Thank you!

Rodrigo!: That's alright, and I'll keep up the people

Okay, semi-improved cyborg and truck pic, a moleskine page (it's two scenes divided in the middle it that makes it clearer), and some 30 minute doodles in oekaki and photoshop.

Hey Staylor! zombietruck.jpg is looking really good. I think it's one of the the best things you've posted so far! I like the Moleskine stuff too. One thing you might want to keep in mind is the composition when drawing from life. The subject matter (like the cars) seem to crop out in an odd way. Really good updates, keep em coming

Inkfish: Thanks, I'll keep the composition in mind more.

New WIP and a pencil sketch. Not much, but at least I'm drawing.

Listing: Thanks! And I definitely do need to work on foundations.

I'll try to get around to everyone's sketchbooks soon, School's kept me busy recently (and when I'm out of school I'm drawing ).

Soooooo... Here's some stuff! A quick moleskine pic (no, he is not giving me the finger), update on wingy centaur dude, and my angry cat (he has a blond spot now because we had to put hydrogen peroxide on his head after another cat bit him).

Hey man! Long time no see! That digital you've been workin' on is really startin' to come together! You've certainly developed some skill with a tablet, mate!! I'd love to see more in the way of your ink drawings tho. And I'd like to see more life drawing and anatomy work... nothing substitutes for great observation, I assure you. Keep bustin' balls man.

Here's a crit so my post isn't completely useless... right now everything in your painting seems in focus. Maybe certain elements should be blurry, etc. This allows you to paint rather loosely in areas. Don't try to make everyhting super detailed and tight... it ruins the overall image. I have the same problem. Take it easy, man!

Zebzfree: Thanks, I'll try to loosen up the backgrounds! Also, new ink WIP is up . And hopefully I'll have the time to do some more life stuff soooo busyyy...

Finally some new sketches! Digital and Ink WIP (why does ink come so easily to me when nnothign else will?), and various silly doodles.

    Hi Staylor!

Crit on the green-winged blue beast...The darkest parts are in the wings, which makes the rest of the body kinda fade. Try to darken up the blue parts and the balance will be a lot better.

Well, I might be away for a while so I'll put some stuff up here, hopefully I'll have scanner access soon.

Inkfish: Thanks, I might do more with the wingwarped creature, I'm not sure though.

A butt (teehee!) and some sketches from class (normally I don't have time to sketch during class).

Listing: thanks, I probably ought to buckle down on line quality. I love messiness wayyy too much.

TGping: That's alright, thanks for dropping by!

I actually have a lot more stuff to scan and upload, and though I've had plenty of free time recently I've been up on campus from early morning until late afternoon. With my meagre attempts at social life I just haven't been around my computer long enough to post. I'm doing this from a lab right now actually.

But here's what I've got for now. Craig (again), some anatomy and walker jets, and more of the wingwarped beastie (I want to do more with it).

Glikster: Thanks, I love the beasties!

Finally managed to scan in some more stuff! More general weirdness, finally some anatomy studies, moleskine drawings, and a speedpaint (Why did nobody ever tell me how awesome wedge shaped brushes are?).

I also am really excited because after saving up and working all summer I now am the proud owner of a 9x12 intuos tablet, it's so shiny! Granted, it's above my capabilities, but I won't need another one for years. My old beloved tablet goes to my sister who is nurturing some of her own artiness.
