Tell us stories about stitches and ghosts!!

My Vacation was going great ( dominican republic ), i was planning on taking 4 scuba dives in a week, i took 2 in one day, and it was awesome.
But sadly i fucked up the whole vacation the next day by ripping my leg open. we were snorkling on a reef and i found a passage way inside the coral, it was a small tunnel below on the bottom of the coral that was supposed to take me to the other side. so i took enough air and dove under and went into the small tunnel, but when i got there it was way too small and i hit every part of my body on the coral, including my head ( im special now ). when i came out i looked at the wounds and they werent bleeding but one looked mighty horrible, but i thot it was ok and kept on swimming. when i came out on the boat the wound actualy squirted tons of blood, and everyone was going crazy, but i managed to stay calm. in the end i got stitches, and stitches suck. did any of u ever have em? tell us about it. ( il hook u up with pics of it when they develop )

ghosts, they rock, i wonna see one. turns out my dad ( who saw a ghost once ) is friends with a dude whos house is haunted by 2 calm ghosts. when he moved in he even found their skeletons burried in the garage under concrete. he just closed up the concrete and didnt tell the cops, because he didnt want trouble with the house. the ghosts just talk, they havent been throwing shit or anything bad yet. i would wonna sleep over there.
also i was watching a show called most haunted, the 4 crew members were in a very haunted house with satanist souls, and paganists, and monks, and even kids, and a cat ghost, and a witch.. anywaz the witch possed the dude that has the 6th sence of seeing spirits and sensing them and finding out their story, and the witch made him say " go to the bar" where one of the crew members got completely wango3d by a ghost.
u just saw him fly down on the ground, and he was dragged to another room, all while screaming and crying. when they got to him it turned out that he got punched in the chest and while he was flying down from the powerfull blow ( which everyone else felt slightly ) he got another one in the chest in the air, and when he landed he was being kicked in the stomach thus dragging him around. it was awesome.
u guys have any real ghost stories, of things u or someone encountered?

Within my time, i have seen (arguably) two ghosts. The few people I have told this story to look at me funny because of my reaction. My ex thinks i have some kind of subconcious instinct to do it.. anyhow..

Both times I am sleeping when i am awoken by the sensation of being touched on the arm, or on the shoulder. I open my eyes and I see a dark shadow hovering over me. It feels like it is getting closer, but here is the odd part. I never get scared, but instead I feel like I am being attacked, so I instinctively reach up and try to attack the vision. As soon as i do, it flies back and dissapears.

I usually start to recollect myself at this point and try to understand what just happened. I think its a really odd response... But I also believe it is a combination of still being in a dream state / trick of light / and unfocused eyes. But why i always attack it... I have no idea.

I've gotten at least 50-60 stitches in my life- my forehead, my thumb, my right wrist (which was showing bone and tendon), and my tongue.

I've also seen ghostly activity at an old folks home.

    ive seen two ghosts

    1. when i was really young, and it was quite dark, i was walking thru the common/park and i looked over to the famous white mansion next to it. i saw someone screaming at the window, scared the hell outta me. asked my parents, turns round theres a story of some ghost being seen screaming through the window.

    2. i was walking down my street back from school and in the not so far distance i saw a completely white figure of a little kid on a bicycle riding straight towards me. he kind of disappeared into thin air or something

i manage to get a bad cut on my head while walking... somehow my head bumped into something sharp, end up with 4 stitches. another time i was walking up stairs, and end up knocking my shin on the roughed stair edge, end up with one stitch on that part. and the stitch on my chin is the result of me jumping on bed with sharp objects (a chair) near by.

As for ghost, the closest encounter would be me seeing shadows walking around the house when i was young. nothing scary though.
My friend had a close encounter with ghost back in college. His roomate is obsessed with spirits and ghost stuffs, and put lot of crystal balls, glass spheres around. My friend woke up one night and see someone looking at him next to his bed. Thought it was his roomate, he asked: chris, wtf are you doing? Then his roomate's sleepy mumble came over from the other side of the room. Then he somehow realizes this person isn't alive. So he tells him to go away, and that person eventually went into the closet. The next morning all the crystal balls and glass spheres in the room was broken for some reason.

Ages and ages ago, the subject of Ghosts came up in one of my english class. Almost every person could recount some kind of tale of gostly happenings. I guess their not so uncommon as we think.

stithces? yeah, i got a few

I've never seen a ghost. But i've seen my share of crazy unexplainable things. Maybe they all have a logic explanation, but i havent found any yet. For instance, the lights in my room never work when im not there. (this is confirmed by the landlord and my friends.) And I have hot water when noone else in the building does. (same heater..)

The library where I used to work had a ghost named Minnie. She was the first Librarian to ever work when the library was opened and actually died after she fell at the Library (she was pretty old when the library was opened, I think she died at about age 74). But anyway, sometimes my shift started a couple hours before the library opened and I would be putting away books and weird things would happen. Almost whole rows of books would fall off shelves for no reason. Doors would open. Strange noises were made. I was totally creeped out.

Well my stories are true. I also understand the possibility that I was swinging at shadows and not ghosts, but I am on the fence about that. It could be either way.

Ghosts are more common then you realized, thats all.

Yes it's amazing how easily the mind can trick us into believing something is there that isn't. Don't look at the prevalance of stories as proof they exist but proof that we are not as sane as we would like believe.

Never got stitches (knock on wood), but I do have a few ghost stories. One night I was awakened around 4 in the morning. I don't know why I woke up, but when I started to go back to sleep I heard something rustling in the closets. It sounded like someone was moving clothes hangars. I thought it was my dad at first, so I say, "Dad, is that you?" I didn't even say it out loud and he heard me down the hall in another room. He said, "No, what's that noise?" He's usually a sound sleeper, but he had been waked up too by it. We both got up and tried to locate the sound. We thought it was in his closet, which is between our bedrooms, but when we opened it the noise stopped there and began in my mom's closet in their bedroom. She was at work at the time. When we opened her door it stopped and didn't start up again that night. We don't have mice, or rats, so it couldn't have been one of them moving things. The strange part is both of the closets were full of clothes and it would take some force to move the hangars to make noise. It couldn't be any kind of wind to make it do it. We still have no explanation for it.

Then there was another time I was at my computer. It was sometime at night, but I can remember not being sleepy. I didn't watch anything scary that night, so I wasn't edgy. All of a sudden I feel someone grab my right shoulder, squeeze it a little, and then let go. Like when someone comes up behind you and says, “What are you up to?”, or “Keep up the good work.” It spooked me at first because I didn't hear anyone walk up behind me, but when I turned around to see who it was, NOBODY WAS THERE That really freaked me out. All the hairs on my body just stood straight up. I turned off the computer and didn't get back on it at night time for at least a week. I don't know if it was some kind of muscle spasm, or what. It didn’t move, it felt just like someone grabbed my shoulder.

The third incident happened a few months ago. I was awakened by heavy breathing. I had my eyes closed, but I was awake, so it wasn’t me. I thought my dad was having an asthma attack and needed me to take him to the emergency room. When I turned over, NOBODY WAS THERE Just then I heard the closet noise again. Something was in my closet at the foot of my bed rattling hangars. This was about 4 in the morning, the same time the first incident happened. I just stared at my closet. I was frozen in fear. I just started and keep telling myself that this had to be a dream. After about a minute it stopped. I quickly got up and went to the living room to watch TV and get my mind off what just happened.

The man we bought the house off of decided to move to California. His wife had died a few years before he decided to move (don't know if she died in the house, or not). When he was gathering things up to take with him there was an old rocking chair that he said he wanted to stay with the house. His daughter objected, but it did stay with the house, for a while. We eventually ran out of room and decided to store the chair at my grandparent’s house, about the time all of this started. I'm convinced this has displeased the spirit(s) that inhabit the house. The rocker is still up at my grandparents and I doubt these are the last encounters we will have with the ghost(s).

Had quite a few stitches. The only thing I hate about them is that whenever I tell them I'm alergic to plastic they ALWAYS manage to put a plaster on top of the stitches that makes me want to rip the stitches and skin off. Got into an argument with a nurse thinking I was being fancy at the hospital but when they came to remove the stitches... What they saw under that bigass plaster convinced them they could try and find an hypoalergenic one. "Yeah that's why I was asking for ICE all the time, Bitch. Now get that IV needle out of me".

I have had that sensation a number of times, actualy quite frequently recently, i am afraid i dont think it was no ghost, as for your other stories and everyone elses, well im now constantly checking over my shoulder

I never really thought of this as a ghost story, but its kinda freaky i guess...
when walking home from the pub at night to a freinds house we quite often pass a lamp post that dosent work, as soon as our friend gets close it flickers on. Its done it a number of times, its actualy quite funny.
