Thumbs up Maestro_612's fine point BIC doodles, added Sept. 6, 2005

I've been lurkin' around here for about 2 years, and finally felt comfy posting somethin'. This morning doodle (hehehe...doodle) took me about an hour.
    C-n-c's welcom and appreciated

Fooled around with Sargent brush (painter 8), and some PS work
A lil over an hour to do.

An old piece I did about 3 months ago

Your brush and texture skills are great, and a good post for your first thread, but I think that your style is extremely similar to Sparth's - as well as subject matter and design.

I'd recommend trying to find your own voice, as you clearly have a good foundational knowledge of the software, and general shape.

These are really great! Specially the guy charging up the fireball in his hand. Really nice colors.

Magic Man: Thanks for the kind words and advice...comparing me to Sparth is too kind (or should I take it as an insult? lol).

Ninja: I can't wait to see more of your work

Melvin: Thanks, Melvin...but I have a nasty weakness. If I overwork a piece, it gets stiff. Wait, that sounded perverse. Ummm...what I mean is, I'm doin' my best to keep it loose. Wait, that also sounded perverse. sigh, I hope y'all know what I'm talkin' 'bout.

Anways, here's something I did in under an hour. I'll post something else tonite. Maybe a spaceship or some kinda environment.

    doodles away from computer

I had to stay away from my computer today...some slight home renovations going on. So, I did the next best thing...gabe my Bic Fine Stic a workout.

A couple of quick sketches (about 5 mins each) that I may turn into PS paintings.

And a couple of so-so character sketches done at Border's Stockton, cuz I couldn't see my girl tonite. Love ya, Babe!!!

Man, those drawings are gorgeous! Well, you say you aren't of the elite, yet, but you are still way better than us dirty Lower-class-folks!

Faust: Thanks for the kind words...you guys aren't dirty, and low-class I'm the noob, here...too scared to post anything for 2 years! I'm downright yellah. Anywho, after I post my new toilet paper scribblings, I'm checkin' out your book!

An oldie, but one of my faves.

    A sketchy paint-over of a 2-min sketch.

    Monday morning doodle, blah-blah

    SWAT paint

This is a paint-over of a previous doodle. After about an hour, I stopped, because it looked "painterly" enough...I wanted to avoid overworking it.

I'd wacom hard and fast too you know. If only I had one

There's a nice sketchy feeling to some of your pieces. I like that. Keep practicing dude, it's just a matter of time before you get the hang of it
