just some late night before-bed wacom crap

I think in some ways I've gotten worse at making something appear 3d, solid on the page... need to work on that...

Grrreat style man!!!! I love it!!!
Only thing I see is you are avoiding the lighting part, my advice is to try to imagine every part of your object/character as a simple form (cube, cylinder, sphere) so its easy to get an idea of the lights and shadows of it.
    Hope it helps!

    And keep posting!

Hey Ferg! I can see you are a great artist with a big imagination. I noticed some sketches with skribbles as the outline/detail, I think that might take away from the overall greatness of those characters. I really dig what you've got goin on here...I'd love to see some more color!!!!!!

    shyamshriram: thanks

ravindranak: thanks also, oh yes... also thanks

joiton: you're very right... I'm all about the linework... trying to work my way into more "lit" pictures, thanks for the tips

Cobi: More color more color more color..... is that all you people know how to say? Har, har... yah I'll get to it... I'm just suuuper lazy and currently working on a 3d project. After I land me a job in 3d game making land, I'll start and hit the color 2d hard.

Anyway... more poo from my head....

Wow, there's a huge improvment especially from the start of this book to the last, especially with the heads. They look solid and have some real character now. Now all you have to do it to attach them to bodies, put them i a scene and away we go

I'll keep an eye over here

Hello there. Great sketching going on here. I see much more confident line and shading in your latest posts than in your first ones. It tells me that you are going in the right direction. Would like to see an update on that 3d model. Is it going to a low rez model?

placeboast: Thanks. I've attached the latest shots of the model after these sketches. I've got a thread going in the 3d forum, here's a >>link<<.

Zebz: Thanks. Your absolutely right about the studies... I really need to do some anatomy studies, especially of women. But will I? Only time will tell.

I do like the loose quality your sketches have but yea, I think some life studies would help you. Especially your faces. You're having a similar problem that I am as your faces seem to all be similar. We keep seeing the same ones popping up again and again. Especially the noses. I know it's a style thing too... just try and vary things up a bit. BTW, nice 3D render. I'm takin' an animation class next semester so I'm interested to see how that turns out. We'll see!! Keep it up!

Keep it up. I hope u are gonna work w/ ur wacom more often. It seems u only use it to blacken up some space on the page. This while wonderfull things can be done w/ a wacom!
