*** Live Painting Demo !!! *** UPDATE; re: ticket purchase!
all right guys!
do not let this one fall through the cracks!
on saturday, september 10th,
there will be a live painting "jam session"
at the Society of Illustrators, nyc
6 artists will produce dozens of paintings... collaboratively!
each person working over/on top of the other's.
DAN DOS SANTOS ( thats me )
all the paintings will be auctioned off, and the proceeds will go to the
Society of Illustrators Student Scholarship Fund!
every year the s.i. Student Scholarship Fund donates tens of thousands of dollars to art students all across the country.
possibly there are people here who have won it before!
this event will tie in with Spectrum: The Exhibition
(thats the day before, also not to be missed!)
artsits are flying in from all over for this...
so if you live anywhere near NYC, i expect you there!
seats are limited, so dont be late!

If I win the lottery... I'll be there with bells on or something... otherwise I'm going to go sit in a corner and rock back and forth.
Sounds awesome, and a rare thing to get to witness.

I just got a reply back saying the tickets are 30$?
is that true? The poster says 10$ for students and 20$ for non-students.

reply from who?
you might be confusing this with the spectrum exhibit.
that exhibit is free,
though, the opening reception for the exhibit is $30 a head.
(thats for food & stuff)
thats the day before this.
this one is indeed $10 for students.

the reply didn't say who it was. I guess whoever it was confused as to what I was asking for.

I'll be sure to get to NYC bright and early Saturday the 10th!
