This one was just a try out to improve my aquarell skills, I tried to start directly with colours, without any sketch. I used no ref so it was not easy to manage allt he colours and lightning. I couldn't erase mistakes so it's not the best but it was a good helpful study. More recent stuff will come the next days, I think I'll start my comicproject "Christine the liberator", maybe I#ll upload some of the characterdesigns
@blacky: Thank you very much
It's so very hard to improve my painter skills, especially with aquarell colours because if you make mistakes the picture is fucked up
Yeah, I'm also not sure about the hand...
Hello, GunTrouver. I like both of your last watercolors, but i think something is not right in combination of colors. I can say more or less definite about second painting. The water in the river has a colder hue, and that's OK, but it has a very different shade of blue and it doesn't look natural with than shade of sky. I think colors of the sky should be present, be included in the color of water, well, becouse of the reflections and everything. I might be wrong. But sky looks warmer blue and water is much colder one. I block the water with my hand and for me personally picture looks much more believable.
Other than that I enjoy your watercolors, as always.
I like the monkey too. It has this deep in thought mood about it and I like good sense of motion in the picture.
@sve: Nice to see you Yeah, you're absoloutely right with the color of the water, it should have the same colours like the skye. That's because I thought that there has to be a contrast between sky and water but as I see now I was wrong
Thank you very much, and I forgot to say that I used ref. for the monkey
@mnmcandiez: Vielen dank!
@GOBLINSHARK: Thank you very much!
Ich komme aus der Nähe von Münster, falls dir das was sagt.
Looks promising, Gun, very mean dog, dog's version of the God of War.
Wow, now, that's a really nice sounded rhythm, I mean in this phrase. I bet the good tap dancer will do quite a number with this rhythm.
Like his ammunition a lot and no nonsense serious snout, he means real business.
Looking forward to see the finished piece in full glory.
P.S. I wish you told me what disturbs you in my digitals, I know, a lot, but still. I want to get better, buddy.
your choice of dogs as the subject for a lot of your work in here is fascinating. After all, they are man's best friend.
Your watercolor pieces look nice. I like that sky and the cloud cover.
way to go.
