Hey all thanks. I would love to spend more time replying to your comments, but am about to go to dinner with my wife and kid. Here's a quick one I did after looking at Ben Olsen's sketchbook. That man is damn good! Mine's nothing like his stuff...I don't think, but it was fun learning about paper texture and the oil pastels.

Great work! I saw your Gandhi sketch from early on and saw you were reading up on him. Have you listened to the Nonviolence podcasts from UC Berkely? It's from course number PACS 164A (peace and conflict studies). It's definitely worth a listen. The professor (I think his name was Nagler) should be doing PACS 164B this spring, which should also be podcasted.

Wow thanks all. Peter_john, I'll definately give that a listen.

Hey another quick lunch sketch. This one is of Ava Jaymes Cipriani a 3 year old with a pediatric cancer called neuroblastoma.

Having a little girl who's 2 and a half, this sort of hit me hard. I hope this brings some attention to her and her family. You can see her website here:http://awishforava.com/

From there you can decide how best to help em' out.

wow, great stuff. You've got one hell of an imagination, and the skills to carry it through. Too many good peices, particualry the lovecraftian mermaid, and the second to last portrait on the last page.

    Great stuff!

Really digging the crawler actually sir!
I think the last sketch would look nice with a bit of digi refinement.

Hey thanks Jake. I'm definately planning on hitting that with some digi love later on. More quick stuff. Have not used markers in years.

Nice painter set dude, the one of the guy in the junkyard/cliff has a nice composition to it. I really dug the update stuff before it, really cool marker work, and this pic would make a sweet painting nearly didnt notice it from how small it is.

Hey thanks all. I've been having fun lately. Trying to return to that 'fun' stage of art, while still trying to grow, and challenge myself. So far....failing. Oh well, can only do what I can do. Sitting in the room I do at work I'm constantly reminded what a hack I am. Seriously Matt's always telling me that.

    More crow dude.

Crow dude is coming along man. The portrait and stuff from the previous post in lovely. I've been playing with the Painter X trial using painter for the first time and I'm loving it. The real bristle brushes are hot don't you think?
