I'd start by first sketching and learning how to render vehicles, so that you can best represent your ideas, have a look at some of Scott Robertson's vehicle renderings for inspiration - here's an example:

    Workin' Out

Nice strong sketching style <> like the girls face <> draw a lot <> it will pay off no matter what you do <> ideas are more valuable than renderings <> not to say that great renderings like Scott aren't great cause they are <> but at the end of the day expressing ideas become the dope! The better you can express them the more valuable you become <> of course it really boils down to what you what to do!

  23. This sketch looks really good, and it very reminiscent of your robotic technical style, but then all the other human portraits you posted after that do not have the same technical accuracy. Do you have any more human studies like the 1st pic? I'd love to see them. Or see you draw a few more and post them. The last pic you posted has nice lines, but I'm not a fan of the color scheme you chose to apply to it. Red and Blue are natural enemies .

The robo and tech stuff is looking good. That starship looks awsome. But the fin closest to the top of the page looks like its too far forward, relative to its matching fin on the other side of the ship. Keep posting.

    Hey Robomaniac,

Not a bad start. I really like some of your concepts. My fav is the robotic mouse.

I think you should be more loose with your line work, then concentrate color and rendering in a program such as photoshop.

Since pictures are worth a thousand words, attached is a sample of a concept I am working on.

I drew this out in under 5 minutes and then went straight to color, in order to figure out the mood and feel of the character

Looking foward to seeing more of your work.....keep on posting.
