Eh. I still just don't see mechs being that useful for the military.

A legged mech's advantage over rough terrain is kind of nulled by have a considerable weak point in balance.

A mech with arms is even sillier in terms of military pursuits... But I could see uses in construction.

    Oh well. Still look cool.

well it may be useless but it's awesome.

i love how the japanese are willing to "think outside the box" so to speak and just create things that are cool like this, even if their functionality isn't up to par.

as far as future uses for mechs go... in addition to construction as has already been mentioned... i could see them being used "Aliens" style as a loader vehicle.

Yeah, and the first car ran on steam and only went a few miles per hour, but now look what cars can do!

hey, maybe this mech is completely useless but imagine yourself sitting in this thing and just standing in front of your house, spending your time looking THAT cool. And maybe you could shoot at all the little children who would come to gape at you. AWSOME!

That thing looks sweet and all, but this leaves me with one question. If it's called Land Walker 2, where's Land Walker 1??? What if the Land Walker 1 was made for the Japanese government? What if it's like 50 times better than this one and CAN take over the world?!?!?! My GOD, THERE IT IS, RUNNNN!!!!!

No, they have to wait till discovery channel does one without the bad music, and with a skill concept artist or two.

That thing is only 43,000? That seems reasonable, I mean that's within the range of being bought. If I'm not mistaken, don't people waste that much on some shityy-looking sports vehicles?
