Hi Alday J, thanks for the crits and the encouraging words.
That's right I am Hungry about art. Always loved it and the Conceptart.org is a great place for learning and share experiments.

Hi Tensai, thanks a lot, like I said this is my favorite from all the paintings I have done, it was done about ten years ago when I was 17. After that I haven't painted so much since I was at the University studying biology not arts and now with work I don't have so much time too.
By the way I love your cityscapes they are really great, love your style.

Great work, you show promising improvement . The animal studies are very good indeed and the paintings, especially the latest oil, look very professional. I look forward to seeing more .

We'll ride the spiral to the end, we may just go where no one's been

Flatliner- Thanks a lot, that's the objective, to improve as much as possible .
About the oil, thanks a lot, from all the painting I have done that's my favourite ever, I think it is from 1994-95, not sure, when I was 16 or 17 years old.
After that, there were severall years when I didn't paint so much...
anyway you can check out my new stuff at the WIP thread (link bellow ).
    cheers

OK, I have been two days to a scientific meeting. Got some time to do some drawings. Some of them are drawings of the speakers. They were a little difficult to do because they kept changing their position.

    Last update (done this week):

I liked this one better while it was only graphite, it went really bad with the watercolour (I wished I could paint with watercolour but it is really difficult ).

Some more exercises for the illustration course I am doing. Once again these were copied over other images. Just to train using the metal nibs in the polyester paper.

good job improving the way you do.. as i was browsing your styff, first i was thinking this guy should focus on drawing way more than on painting and as i scrolled down i saw that you actually did, and it paid off! so yay for that!

now, on a c+c side, it's obvious your reffed stuff is way better than your freehand stuff, so try to understand why things look the way they do when doing refs. study the bone structure and muscle system for example, they'll make your made-up stuff look a lot more convincing.

    keep it up!

Hyver, thanks for the comments and the advice.
Actually I draw much more than I paint and I actually enjoy much more drawing than painting. I used to draw much more but since I went to college I never got as much time as I had before (especially in classes).
Now I think I should use more references and finish more pieces instead of just sketching.
That's what I am trying to do now.
