Go voraz, go! Good to see one of us updating.

Absolutely love the brushstrokes on the birds and bat. Love the last update from the 22nd despite the anatomy issues. Keep it up, and keep working on anatomy, do more from life or ref if you have the chance.

    Hi, hai!
    Thanks for the encouragement.
I will be taking about a month off, I need to detox from CA a little. Need to spend more time on other stuff, I guess by that time I will have a bunch of stuff acumulated, already have.
Went to a live nude model session today for the first time, it was great I hope to repeat that soon.
Meanwhile since I am here this is what I have done for February's stylized animal challenge (see TD section):

    sketch (about 20'):

    final (about 90')

Hi Voraz. Some great work here.
Your latest picture, the camel, looks fricken awesome man. Is it colored in photoshop or have you used an analoge media?

Watch out for outlining facial features with to hard a line.

It's been a month since the last time I posted here.

Thanks for all the comment, sorry for the late reply everyone.

Glatteveier- thanks, the camel was done only markers and a touch of watercolour in some small spots.

Xavvaniv- thanks, there's a new one just bellow.

    callops- thanks!

Here is the picture I have done for this month's Stylized animal challenge (in the community activities section). Thi month we were supposed to draw an eagle.

Also I am building a web site. I didn't know anything about webdesign or programing so this is looking pretty amateurish, but I am learning...

    You can check it here:

    http://pwp.netcabo.pt/l.f.l/

There's is only a portuguese version now, I am working on the english version, but you can check the images, there isn't much to read there too...

Wow those birds are really cool! I think they were a lot less difficult than humans right?
I like the acrylic paintings a lot, but sometimes there's a bit too much going on. Try to find a colour in the painting that you use everywhere a bit, this would make your paintings a bit more one I think.
Also practice structure and proportion lots ^^ especially on your faces. The eyes are quite often too high, ofcourse not always

well I really don't have much else to say at the moment. Just keep doing the studies. and maybe some more pen drawings for proportion.

    Love
    Marleen

Hi Noë, thanks for the coments. I know what you mean with using a predominant colour, that is something I have also been thinking.
Anyway, long time since the last update, not that I haven't done anything, just not much time to post stuff.
here's my entry to this months stylized animal challenge:

Hey that looks really nice! Not so stylized though The background gives this the most stylization (is that a word? )
I think I would prefer this being on a white or grey background with some texture in it, like paper, but well, that's just my preferation
I really like the head, it has some very nice subtle tones in it and looks well constructed. What did you use to make this? I'm guessing ink and watercolour? Ah well, looks nice I'm wondering what the black stripe is that goes from its neck to its back though, is it something in the fur?

    anyways, enough questions Cool stuff
now do (and scan) more studies ^^
    love
    Marleen

Hi NoŽ thanks for the nice comments. About the stylization I know what you mean, I think you would be thinking of something more simplified or cartoony... I guess maybe that's what it is expected, though I still think this is a kind of stylization... I guess the grey tonned or paper texture background would be something I would go to normally but I felt like experimenting a little, I kind of like the constrast of the different styles. The stripe is a pattern of the fur...
the base was drawn in graphite very quickly and then worked in watercolour. Afterwards it was cleaned digitally. the background is also obviously digital.
I don't mind the questions it is nice to see some interest!

This is something I have been working for quite some time, I think I am considering it finished...

Hai, thanks a lot for the support. I will keep updating, just not as regularly as before because I don't have much time know.
To compensate here are some drawings from a nude model session (first and only so far) I went 2 months ago. This was a session of about 2:30. Spent very few time in some of the poses...
Mostly charcoal or chalk?(pastel?) sticks, graphite watercolour pencil and watercolour, all done in A3 paper.
