YOU! .. are my hero and I want to meet you!
Also, is it true that ALL of them are actually self portraits? I mean I can see what looks like a photo of your living room or somthing!, a monkey, a skeleton, wierd bizzarre swirling shapes....etc etc

But it is just an absoloute inspiration! I should stop posting here, lol.

I have two words taped to my monitor to serve as motivation to press on through the day: Discipline and Focus. You sir, are the model of both. I will press on all the more fervently having viewed your masterpiece.

    Thank you for the inspiration.

8 feet long that is insane, I hope you get it printed that huge someday. Massive Black should pay for a huge print and it should hang outside of the building like a flag or something.

My god I was half asleep when I saw this. This is some powerful work I can't wait for the poster I have to have it hanging on my wall but for now i'll have to just have it as my desktop wall paper. This was so inspiring it actually woke me up and made my day. As many have already said this is a feet and I don't think this has been done before 1000 portraits but i'm planning on looking it up. Truely inspiring truely beautiful and I agree that you should make a book but in your own time not just because there is demand for it. As You can probably tell I joind the board just to be able to make a comment on your amazing work.

Serious? That's awesome. It'd be fun to have a giant poster with one thousand portraits of the same person staring down at me.

    Hey Andrew

Like everyone else I'm very much impressed with this amazing achievement. Kudos dude, I can see how this must have been rewarding as well as frustrating.

Which ones are your favorites and why? I'd love it if you'd talk more about a couple of them and why they stand out.. There must be a couple of lovechilds in there, right?

Also, did you go at this at random or did you explore various themes and moods to keep your work progressing? How do you feel about the result in that regard? Did all this digging pay off?

Excellent presentation btw, really a kick in the gut. Love to hear your thoughts on this man. Take care,

    m

that's cool!! are we going to be able to order it here, from turkey

    thanks andrew, for the inspiration.
as people already said a couple of times this would be even more cooler if we could see them on a book with the sorties behind them (and it will be a loong reading i guess). anyway it is the coolest thing i've ever seen on these forums, book or no book. (and probably remain that way, unless you're going to break your own record )

    thanks again.

Nothing to say that hasn't been said yet, congratulations and thank you for the great inspiration this kind of work produces.

It's not common to see a work developed in a process of several years and still have unity, we can see the evolution and different stages you had passed through... just great.

I'm remembering when i saw you finished the 365 and thinking how insane was doing one selfportrait a day during one year, and you reached 1000

    Pablo.

Well Andrew, there really aren't any words to describe what an accomplishment this is. Truly amazing. I hope you rake it in with sales for this poster. I too was thinking about printing this one out on my own, but don't want to deny you the funds that would come from my purchase!!! It'll be worth every penny and you deserve every last cent.

Thanks for sharing your inner eye with us, it's been a joy to partake, even in this small way, in your journey.

    Craziness Dude...

The coolest thing is how certain pieces really are a marker in time. Thinking back to the beginning of the Forum and all of it's History.

First of all - amazing work andrew (it's an inspiration to learning artists - kinda humanizes the whole "great artist" )

Although I do notice something creepy - there's a kinda faint profile in the pattern of images (borrowed your poster image dhaydu - because that's where I noticed it ):

    Just happened to notice that

You don't know me, and to be honest I had only just become aware of this journey of yours. But...wow.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, than this is truly worth a million. Yet there are no words I could find to describe it. This is impressive, inspiring, amazing and totally fucking awesome, and beyond that.

Another thing! This ought to be a web site www.1000selfportraits.com and we can click on the the individual images to see them. Just to sort of give us all a better viewing of it, make it interactive. At any rate, this is a master work of time and skill, great in eveery respect, though scary sometimes as well. Love it.

    Question

So what's the status on being able to order this puppy?
