    berzerker wrath

Lomg time since my last post...
Lets see if this can get some comments..

Did about 50/50 at work, and at home.

Exclusively done with a blue ballpoint pen.
    My favourite tool it seems.

First off, wow. I get so messed up using pens and drawing.

Only crit- the composition. With the empty on the left and the main chunk of art on the right, it gives the impression that the beserker isn't so much charging, but is being pushed or falling. Not exactly fear-inspiring. :X

    But very nice nonetheless

    Thanks alot for the comment.
Yeah, I can actually see what you mean. I'll keep that in mind next time I do something with a pen.
It's just hard to correct something done in pen.

dude its badass, i can feel the power.
it is very greek/roman and reminds me of god of war.
the composition is acceptable, and in fact unique and not boring.

Thank you very much. I'll look into your forum, but I don't know exactly how much this piece would fit into a horror forum.
Perhaps when i'm done with some new drawings.
I'll bookmark the forum for now.

Because it's ONLY a ballpoint pen sketch!

Like, what part of "Finalized and Well Presented" do you NOT understand?

Just 'cause you finished drawing on it, does NOT qualify this as a "Finished" work! It's a very overworked sketch, and nothing more.
    Get over your ego.
You want it in FF? Then put forth the effort. It'll show, just like this shows that it DOESN'T belong there.

Nice work, I like the detail and all those cross hatching. The muscles look really good too. The blank wall really bothers me, if you don't have the border around to suggest it's a wall behind him, it may not bother me as much. But then since i know it is a wall, it feels too empty. Give more cracks and dirt and smudges on that wall, it might help to balance the composition too.

Don't get so upset with the moving. It's a really good work, but it still needs more polishing. (I blame that on the empty wall). All in all, I hope to see you calm down and work on it a little more.

Its a very nice drawing dude, but i kinda understand the moving. I do a lot of drawings that i feel are finished, but that i would never put in the finished section. I mean, a ballpoint pen drawing next to a fully rendered Poshspice chick or a poster of a 1000 SPs from Android. I dont have the balls for that, you had and got burned. I guess you should clean it up a bit, color it or play with it very tastefully in Ps or something. Give it a lot of thought before posting it there. I like it - its good - but the hard white space and the unfinished hands make it look sketchy.

XD, i also got moved, deal with it XD.....now they are trying to create higher standards for the finished seccion, instead of getting mad for it, consider the threads beside ya ( as Fellah said, you and most people can´t compare to Poshspice, or Despain, or Elwell ...etc)

Try to work hard to make your work acceptable in that new version of "is finally finished".

BTW, is a really nice drawing...the Axe´s position looks a little weird...maybe you could enhance this pic in photoshop, it would be a shame to leave it as it is ( it haves more potential than that)

Gonna have to agree with Madster on this one...a ballpoint pen sketch does not belong in the finished section. You might think that the sketch that took you about a little over an hour and used only one type of medium/color to complete belongs next to others that take days and numerous different colors to complete but that is rude of you to assume such. Take these lumps were giving you with pride and grow from it.

Now you know and knowing is half the battle!

Just one thing, even though this ball point pen work doesn't seem to be finished, it doesn't mean ballpoint pen cannot produce finished work. Finished work does not mean colored. It could be done with one medium or color, such as the pencil works from Nimra.

Heh ja, det er jeg da. Hil

Thanks for all the comments everybody. You're right about the moving, I just got a little upset thats all, no hard feelings.

About the wall thing. The white space was never intended to be anything more, than just some white space. I see what you mean now, although I didn't see it initially.
The axe's position is a little weird yeah, but I'm not sure how to correct it. Ballpoint is pretty permanent, so corrections can be hard to do.
Thanks for the encouraging comments. I don't think i'll go any further with this one. I'm pretty caught up with another ballpoint drawing at the moment, and so far, I feel that this new one has a lot more potential than the one I've posted here.
I'll post it as soon as i've got a little further in the process. And I'll post it in this section ofcourse. (This section is much cooler anyhow, people tend to comment a lot more here it seems).

    Thanks again.
