    So.... how does it work?

Some friends and I have an idea for a really really REALLY low budget film, but we don't know where to start.

Right now, we're developing some concept art, but other than that, nobody really knows what they're doing, so I'm asking the general forum here if anyone knows what a typical organization of previsualization goes through. From some of the books I read, it seems the story is almost immediately storyboarded before most of the design happens. Is this true? Does any other method work better? It seems that you should have at least some designs pretty much finalized before storyboarding.

I guess my real question is: What kind of process do you talented people out there go through from start to finish for a certain previsualization project?

Any advice, stories, anecdotes, tips, etc. would be helpful.
