    Post Concept Art : Laboratory

Hi all~ my country is summer season.
I decided to paint this concept image for enjoying the cool. this is my personal work.
I imagined that something was wrong and occurred in the laboratory.
You can see the cat's eye under the desk in this image.
    Thank you~ have a nice day~ ( Tool : PhotoShop )

This is really great. Has a very Resident Evil feel to it. There are few things spookier than laboratories that are all spattered with blood. I'm not sure whether I like it better with or without the distortion. I think the distortion adds to that claustrophobic kind of feel. Nice work.

Thats Disgustingly Lovely, very nice. I think the bloods done rather well..the colours are good and has a very good amount of detail. I prefer the normal image rather than the distorted one, only thing i like about the distored one is the character in the Back Ground looks better further away, draws me in a little bit more. Good Work!

I really love it. Non-distorted is better.

Awesome! I have two crits. One, like everyone is saying, I really like it better non-distorted. Two, the static on the monitors looks too crisp and sharp to fit the rest of the image. Good work!

really nice image. i think the non-distored one works better. however the distored one feels more psychological and more like a distorted dream or something. so i think both work well depending on what feeling u are going for. i like the cat eyes hiding under the desk. if i were to crit, maybe push the silhouette of the figure in the background so that the viewer can tell what type of person he or she is, unless u wanted it to be more ambiguous.

I think the distorted one would be better if it was less severe- lessen the distortion. Good feel and lighting, great job

the distorted one would probably work better if you were using a security camera view on the piece rather than a straight on view of the place. it does draw attention to the figure though which is intresting. so non distorted works best in this instance i think.

Actually the fish eye would work better if it really had a continuous curved perspective. It feels more like a filter than a true fish-eye (bottom right gave it away). Pretty cool as usual nevertheless !

Id say that the static on the televesions are too saturated and sharp, and draw attention from the rest of the pic instantly.

I love the distorted one. Undistorted, it's just a lab with blood.
When it's distorted, there's like a whole intense story that you wanna know about.

i say make the staic on the screens black and white. It would smooth out the compisition kinda. Looks good though.

I would have to agree with the normal shot versus the fish eye. I think that it is rather nice. My biggest problem is that I have seen real fresh and old blood splattered around and what you have in your image looks more like red paint to me than blood. I don't know how to change it to look more realistic exactly but I do know that it is the color of the blood. Over all it is a very good piece.

I think the distorted version adds a little bit more interest - It feels as if you may be looking thru the eyes of a victim, or the perpetrator.... the straight on - composition is well executed, but lacks a visual punch as a stand alone image, unless it's strictly an environment study. Either way, good job!

    Cow

Hehe... cats eyes or whatever, its vicious! Man. were they experimenting with dynamite implants? hehe. Very cool image. Couple a things I think would make it better though...

    1) The blood is all one colour... blood goes dark when it congeals and looses oxygen so darkening some areas slightly towards blue would make it more interesting. Though VERY subtly. A nitpick really

    2) Blood is very shiny... so some specular highlights where it would reflect the light and even some reflections like where the man is walking away would make the surface more convincing.

    3) put a ten foot rabid rabbit on the table...hahaha

    Wicked piece!
