    Onion Tummy

So the new Zbrush R2 has been out for well over 3 months now and I have to say they have really added some amazing new content. Dynamesh in particular is a dream come true and will definatly be a permanent addition with in my work flow. Its been well over a year since I have sculpted anything so i decided to work on something playful and silly from one of my old sketches. I still have more to do with this guy and ill be uploading some turn tables soon as i finish with him, but i thought i would share some test renders.

    Hey robert!

I like the last zBrush (?) work on the shark. The emotion you caught is veeeery nice

On the last update i would have liked to see a bigger value range in the first concept.
The second one is a lot better imo.

    Greetings,
    Sil

I agree that the second one looks much better and I love ur 3d model too! It could be an adventure game main character or super hero in some comic book tho.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I really appreciate you all stopping in.
Going through some recent projects and doing my postmortem over view taking notes before I hop on my next project. Anyway I wanted to make one of these since I see this lighting approach everyday in popular illustration and concept art. I figured I would share the notes for anyone who wants them.

What happened to the 4xWeek speedpaintings?! I mean, don't you think we've been waiting for more eyegasming work for long enough now?
Hope everything is superb with all the spiders, babies and wifies!

just makes me want to practice and .. ...

So after 2 years of absence I am officially making my return to CA. Having been a member for 10 years now! Something about this place just holds so much nostalgia for me. It would truly be a shame to see this community disappear especially since i oh so much of my past growth this place. This isn't just a name and forum its community of people that have always brought something authentic passionate and honest in our critiques and fellowship as a community. Alright enough with the mushy stuff. So i have been pretty busy in the last 2 years so i wont be doing a big dump but ill just post a few of the high light from personal projects. 2014 is currently starting off quite busy. there so many things going on right now. One those things is a the development of my new fighting game SE ( soul embers ) Ill be posting some of the conceptart here as it through out the year. Ill also do my best to keep posting in this sketch book as the comes. I want to say thanks to everyone who left such kind remarks in this old book. Lets make 2014 an awesome year!developsName: midshot_AE.jpg

At the risk of sounding repetitive: your 3d rendering skills are top notch!

I enjoy your creature designs a lot.

5 stars from me. You deserve 'em!!
