    Cool hiya

Hey man, like your style a lot. It's very easy on the eyes. I really like the use of thick lines. Your characters are very interesting too. I find your style fresh, original, and very cool. Keep it up~~Sio

    Cool

Haha! Thanks, MAD WILL! I'm not familiar with "Renato Russo" though. If you could post a picture of him in this thread or give me a link to some pictures that would be great!

All of those pictures are based on my friend Matt except for the guy with the ball cap on backwards. We call him "Ups".

Thanks alot for stopping by and dropping a line (or two). Come back soon.
    Later, man!

    Renato russo

Renato russo is a singer of very famous rock band in Brazil called Legião Urbana (something like Urban legion).

I like all the elongated faces, they appeal to the cartoonist in me. The ones where you used the red and black are very nice.

I really liked the sketches for Chad Smith and Flea. The shadow use on Flea alone was nicely done.

I would never have known that was Bon Jovi, though. Doesn't look anything like him. Maybe the likeness was lost in the scan or maybe it's my monitor. It looks like a damn fine drawing, anyways.

Naked fat Wolverine- I'm officially disturbed...

    Keep up the good work.

I love a whole lot of this stuff! It seems you have a few perspective issues when you do a 3/4 face, but I'm sure they are just quick errors. Right? =)

    Firing Back Replies

MAD WILL-Renato Russo of "Legião Urbana", huh? I can see the resemblance you spoke of. The first two links didn't work for me but the last one did. Thanks alot for doing that!

madplanet-Thanks for stopping by! I do the stretched faces alot. I thought it would fun to do the RHCP drawings in pen from some album photos and it was!
As for Jon Bon, It resembles him but wasn't "dead on" although the scan and smudging in my skbk did make it look like crap. Naked Wolvie was one of my first drawings with my new wacom. Just messin' around some! Take care.

Pixeldragoon-Hey, man! Glad you dropped in! Thanks for the comments. As for the 3/4 views, It is most apparent (I think) in the 9th picture posted. His ear is too close to his face, etc. I just experiment alot with faces and tend to distort the facial features to get different looks. I DO appreciate you pointing it out. For that piece I was more worried about style than anything else. I did a loose sketch in pencil and then went over it with marker. I'll watch out for that in my other stuff. Peace!
