    DSG 791: Sci-Fi: FURRY ROBOTS!

We usually see 'em w/ glossy metal or plastic surfaces... sometimes pockmarked, or rusty, or otherwise weathered...
but rarely do we see them with any soft and cuddly quality (exceptions that spring to mind would be that cool teddybear in A.I. or that great dog robot in the original Battlestar Galactica.)

Originaly created with robot needs in mind, "entertainment bots" were soon found in niche fetish porn.

    Heres mine:
    DSG 791: Sci-Fi: FURRY ROBOTS!
After making an initial sketch with my Laptops touchpad and realizing that this is not really the best way to paint something digitally I just did this back at home.

Withdrawn: hehe, yours is really great...

This topic reminded me of the robotic 'werewolves' from Stephen King's The Wolves of Calla, so I sketched how I thought they'd look.

    Just a quickie.

    DSG is rad + awesome.
This is my first post and I figure that if I keep on keepin' on at this rate I will have posted 20.5 gazillion sketches by the time I'm 74. Whoa! Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Didn't turn out the way I wanted, but here it is... Enjoyed everyone's entry today, btw.

    DSG 791: Sci-Fi: FURRY ROBOTS!

Eri: Creepy. Reminds me of the Beast in Brotherhood of the Wolf for some reason. Maybe it needs to be a bit more robot-like though.
Withdrawn: Hehe trip. Robots can be sexually ambiguous too. I like your color scheme. The lighting could be improved more I think.
Inkfish: Colors look great! Maybe more robotic implants will enhance it more.
Jabberwookie: His foot does seem ill-placed, but the design is very neat. You had me humming that song by Gorillaz from 99...

Goodness, these are all pretty great. Once again, I'm impressed by the variety of ideas here. I'd name names and go into specifics, but there are too many and it is getting rather late- so please forgive me.

meh, its a little bit late, but hey: you cant rush artwork.

experimenting with some new ideas and such, i think it came out alright. If I had more time/focus, I wanted to do more. P'raps another day..

Lukavi > A robot blinger - That made me chuckle out loud, very funny notion.

Some really creative designs on this topic, which I didn't expect!
