Tom! found this mad website with stacks of 3d poses.. was kinda fun..and looking to do some studies too with it.
    http://www.posemaniacs.com/blog/pose/
thanks to tom (idiot apathy) for the mad find.
SO i've been doing some.. i picked two poses and just drew them out..
I think they were like under 3minutues each I think roughly...
I am quite bad with legs and feet.. thought this might get me started in fixing those problems... Also I tend to draw the head a little too small too.

    Min's Sketchbook (23/07/2011, pg.130)

    Min's Sketchbook (23/07/2011, pg.130)

this is timed, 60seconds.. and random poses.. the website has this function.. it's kinda WACK! 60seconds is short tho..
    Min's Sketchbook (23/07/2011, pg.130)

    Ermm more gas mask people..

    Min's Sketchbook (23/07/2011, pg.130)

this is a WIP of one of gas mask soldier.. there's going to be lots of blood everywhere but for now.. (it's a bit too dark but I started off black so that's probably why, will put more stuff in)
    Min's Sketchbook (23/07/2011, pg.130)

    Cheers!

    woooow

first off, that site with the poses is so cool.. I'm going make use of that for sure .. do you have duel monitors and run the poses on the second or something? also, the site for me seems to be in a foreign font or something as everything comes up as "???????" poses work fine though

You're quick drawings of the poses are bloody good too. such awesome quality of line. I'd love to see those a bit bigger ;[

and omg, that beginning to the painting is sooo good. I'd have to disagree, I love the darkness of it. amazing light and colour. very convincing so far. can't wait for the blood

Great stuff Min, those poses are great. Dig the rendered soldier too, great colours and rendering - anxious to see where it is going!

And thanks for the pose link, that is simply invaluable!
    cheers!

the poses look real good - great structure.

about this i disagree with the self crit. i really like how dark it is now. definitely adds to the character.

in general your line work and paints are stellar man. yummi...

nethus, thanks mate, awsome ref site huh? ermm I saved those at around 35~40% of the orifinal size I think.. I usually draw at 50% view.

Brendan N, thanks, I am also anxious to see where it goes too! heh

    asoir, cheers

    Bojee, I am? kewl! thanks!

Zord, thanks for the kind words dude!

tensai, hey! how's it going? thanks for the kind words mate!

    JERI, cheers

ermm just came around to post my chow.. *cough*
    death's horse.
I think I might refine it further and some people have suggested softening the look on the horns.. Emily suggested moths and stuff which I thought was a fantastic idea so might put that in too.
