    Shading

    Anychance of some helpfull critisism!

    Shading

    I just want to know what some of you think of it. and before anyone say, i know, the arms a little too short.

    Your efforts at shading would be a lot more effective, and would better define the shapes and outlines of your work, if you would study up and practice crosshatching. There are some very good tutorials out there on the web, like this one, to help you understand when and how to use the technique.

    You also go over your outlines too much, making your subject look like a cutout, rather than a part of the work.

    The two different directions of smudgy erasures look cheesy and out of place.

    It is a good effort though, in that it is a "complete" work, not just a half-finished sketch. 100 Bonus Points for that alone.

    Keep practicing, look forward to your next shaded piece!

    Thanks, i have atempted crasshatching on previous drawings. So with your advise and that tutorial im going to give the new batmobile(tumbler) a go!

    Sorry to say it, but shading aint your only problem. His face seems to be going in several directions at once
