It gets better after a while, but I must admit some drawings are quite bland, try shading in a little more, good work though.

Right now I see potential, but you (like me and just about everyone I know) need to study anatomy to help gain a better understanding of your characters when you draw. I would suggest at least looking at Mentler's thread to help you in that regard.

Also, you might consider reducing the image size a little to make it easier to look at as a whole.

Keep at it and you'll see changes and improvements as you go. You may not feel like you have improved any, but just go back and look at your older work to see how far you have gone.

the drawing of the house rooftop is really nice, it shows alot of control.

as for the other pages, try to fill the pages, alot of those sketches could fit on the one page. The advice to look at Mentler's thread is good, his anatomy knowledge is superb.

above all else, draw and enjoy it.

    cheers

    Niall

Good start, and welcome to Conceptart! Glad to see you started a sketchbook thread! I like the fact you're trying creatures. You should check out the book "Atlas of Animal Anatomy for Artists" It's the bomb! Lots of skeletons of different animals and views from different angles.

Just a friendly reminder - try to post only when you have artwork to show. After all, you don't want Mentler angry at you!

    Hi!

good start, you are obviously dedicated, so keep at it. Anatomy, is a big huddle for everyone and don't think anyone ever masters it too. Try to work big, use negative space just as much positive to set the right size. It's a bit tricky at first I think with all the details and stuff you get distracted easily and miss the main idea. use some guide lines to help you set the proportions right. it will help you with basics.

    Look forward to the progress.

    Hi man
Good thing starting a sb here!
My advice is to start hitting the anatomybooks hard - you learn stuff really fast that way if you set your mind to it. Also check out mentlers threads here - killer dude with tons of good tips!
And oh, i love those little dudes for the game! The corner part with all them dudes looking at eachother is really good stuff

It's very important to do anatomy studies from reference, otherwise you're not going to learn anything. Pay attention to large shapes before getting into smaller ones.
