Great sketches, I hate low quality anime and this certainly isn't low quality, completely the opposite, beautiful level of hinted at detail on the weird girl and the reclining figure.

    nice post more

Excellent work -- really like the fourth one too :) When can we see a finished one?

Also, are the poses done completely from your head or do you use reference material? Looked at your photobucket site too -- great stuff on there...show us more.

I feel the same way, very good work. Looks like a Wesley Burt influenced piece in your second-to-last image.

Awesome stuff, really was impressed with the blue hair, lets see some more, man!

    Hey Jayne,

Yeah I dig it all as well. You like the same things that I like about anime, the design and concepts that are incorporated into the media. Its beautiful work, just don't pigeonhole yourself. Make sure you keep that design sensability of the clothing and the character style, but try to incorporate more realistic facial structure and whatnot (Not that your proportions or the features are particularly stylized or blown out, they're really rather nice and elegant). Later on however you'll need to transition towards a more realistic approach to faces, but you can still keep just about everything else. You'll find out later on that the blending of anime/manga/eastern influences and a realistic approach to the figure work increadibly well together.

Keep at it, I'm really impressed considering that you're only 17.

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed, The world in arms is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from an iron cross."

    ...I have a sketchbook?

if I hadnt just thrown all the old candy canes away, I would give you one.
really love the designs you have going, very inspired.
few errors in prportions, like hands seem big on blue guy...but just minor stuff.
you should really sit down and finish one though, color and all. you might like the outcome enought ot want to do more

great stuff, i really love those intricate designs you incorporate into the clothing.
The drawings seem to be losing something when you start to ink them, maybe its the line-weight
Anyways keep working and show us more

aaah thanks for the comments! yes i admit the proportions aren't that great, but i'm still learning!

purb, thanks for the compliment to my name!

IanE, i have NO idea who wesley burt is but im gonna check it out after i write this haha

helium, yes i agree most of my faces are pretty simple! but that's cuz ... well, everytime i attempt realistic faces (without a model) it turns out still anime, and i get frustrated. ill post it up soon so ya can see and comment on it!

    one i used photoshop ^ ^

    Wow...it's been a while.

I just turned 19 a little while ago, so I should post up some stuff i've done recently (which isn't much).

Anyways, this is some stuff I did @ 18.
