    THE HUMAN CHALLENGE

Well folks, I have decide to come up with this challenge cause I'm freakin tired of trying to draw all kinds of stuff that I think arent good enough for everybody's skills. What's the purpose of this challenge? to draw HUMANS, people, anything related to our body and form.

    What are the rules?

    1. Multiple submissions per topic! (if you want & the best!)
What I mean here is that If I set a topic called "Sketches", it wont be necessary to put 4-10 pictures of your sketches. Just post your best one. If you feel that you should post more, than put them all in one big-ass composition piece. That's just one more uses you can give to Photoshop .
    2. You've got 1 WEEK to complete your piece (the image that will be posted).
OMG! Lets see if some of you are tough enough to sit at least 30 minutes a day to make a decent piece. Another thing is that I give a 24 hour limit, is to see if you can maximize your creative skills in as many ways possible in a short time.
    3. Weekends are declared vacaction time for HUMAN CHALLENGE participants. So don't post anything you did on weekends here!

Those are the rules folks. Now about media type, It doesnt matter if it's traditional or digital, or both or whatever! The purpose of this challenge is for all to post and participate. The finishing touches of your piece (like "post-production" in Photoshop, or Painter or whatever) are up to you. And since the main topic is HUMANS, you really dont have an excuse for not doing anything (uhh.. couldn't find reference or excuses like that).

Now for the first topic! it'll be easy this time:
    SELFPORTRAIT

    Now get going folks!

    Greetings!
    GriNGoLoCo

    Thumbs up

CA.org pirates! poor purb36. So the winner of the 1st day of challenge is? ME! cause I said so! nah just kidding purb36, you win for doing it on schedule.

Well, the next topic for the rest of the week. SO YOU CAN PRACTICE.

    WOMEN

Trying to draw my girlfriend i realized that I suck even more then when I try to draw myself. It was so bad it hurts my soul and ego of an aspiring illustrator. So go on and post your studies of the VERY difficult female form! As real as possible! I also can draw bigtit, big eye, cartoon stylized women! So I wouldn't reccomend that. Sketches, portraits, whatever. 2 days, 2 posts.

By the way, one new rule:

3.- WEEKENDS ARE DECLARED VACATIONS FOR THE HUMAN CHALLENGE Nuff said.

I know you have already moved on but I absolutely love the idea of this thread and I wanted to participate. I don't always have the time to participate in the "challenge" so I'd like to treat this more like a... "practice arena". Don't worry I'll respect the rules and I won't spend any more than a day on any single piece. To be fair I'll write the time spent right on the piece. This thread was a great idea. Keep it going and I hope more people jump in. Here's my post for Challenge #1

Alright, alright, so a pencil, a piece of paper, and eraser, a scanner, two computers, a LAN, Photoshop, and an FTP server all played a part. but I really didn't want to give away my trade secrets. look what you made me go and do. are you happy now? I feel so vulnerable.

anyway. I think senior Gringo has fled the country. We might have to come up with the next assignment ourselves. Any thoughts?

lol, then we should change it! lets make them weekly challenges FOREVER! one topic, one week, and you can still keep posting if you want too. Let's get it on! If my new rule is correct, you guys can keep submitting women and SP stuff until this Sunday! On monday we'll do the "voting" on each topic and we'll get to choose which topic goes on for the week? what do you say?

EDIT: my women studies i'll post them tomorrow. as well as another 2 SP's :p

    TORSO & HEAD PORTRAIT

minor tip : it can be a self portrait too, but it has to include your flabby abs and arms. from the waist up!

hope this is okay, It looked great as just a line drawing, but I added tone and f*cked up the proportions. My eyes are wierd, they're not facing in the right direction, self portrait, done in about 20 minutes
