Some nice stuff going on up in here, one thing I notice though, that is prevalent in a lot of your work is the feathering of lines, that is small strokes feathered to make a longer line, don't do that as it detracts from the image.

instead, try to use long smooth flowing lines, it doesnt matter if its not straight, but it will lend to the feel of increased confidence in your line strokes.

Als, try to vary the line weights a little more, keeping the details within the object loose and relatively light, and edges darker.

    Inspector Priest:

A Inspector priest is a clerical figure who inspects each unit in the forces of the "junkyard hell"....and determines weather they need to be dismantled and remade or they are worthy to fight for the god master....and rallies them into a blood frenzy with chants and verse......a chaplain almost...

new raw sketch...1.5 hours...one of those on a whim type sketches...called the harvester....

its actually a old concept dating 2-3 years old....

    useless info....

Well my brother the harvesters are those who reclaim the slag unfit for life....they harvest the wastelands of corpses and usuable scrap to take back to the factories so that those sent to the wastes may be given the blessings of a rebirth...in a gloriously dreadful new form...ready to serve the God master.....

dont know how I'll finish this one...

WOW your mecha stuff is soooooooo good. and your armor and robot related stuff is just as good. it's amazing that you just flesh it out. but your people need work. it's a bit anime-ish, and could use a little realism. other than that i'm very impressed. looking forward to seeing more.

spiffster_x: I keep the anime-ish taint out of personal preference man....but yeah them peeps need work...the drawback for doing mechanical design for six years staight and nothing else.....but thanks for stopping by ^^
    Black:neon:Chaos: Thanks!

    NEW SKETCH!

I've dubbed him Bill for the moment

    what is he.....

well for the most part...he's a eclectic mix of metal, oil and flesh.....fused together by ruinous black powers....to create a nigh unstopable hulk of a killing machine....elite in persona but heavy support in firepower....

Bill and his bretheren are veterans of countless battles....and it shows...since they have survived long enough to be warped completely by the black energy that surrounds them....fusing steel flesh and weapon together into one.....big mass....

    enjoy!

wow, these last 2 concepts are killer! they really show a lot of improvement as far as showing the volume and depth of the form as well as branching out from your usual designs and going for something w/ more influence/research in it!

    keep it up

You've got a lot of really great concepts and ideas in here, man! I can see you're workin' hard to create this stuff too. The character/creature stuff is the strongest. Keep workin' on it! The main thing I'd really crit is how stif and stagnate some of the images are. Plus their all pretty cartoony and where I think that's ok for a style thing it might help the style overall if you did some more life drawing/studies. Some anatomy/proportion stuff wouldn't hurt either. Overall I'd say if you could just nail some realism and better rendering in here you're work would definately improve a ton. You've got some ideas, bro! Work with 'em!

    Hi,

I agree with Bob Ross, that you really have some cool ideas for character designs. Those are some cool drawings. Would like to see them rendered. The only crit I'd give is, that some of those, although they are well designed, show a bit of stiffness like those Warhammer illustrations, where you also have these really cool designs, but they don't really seem to be alive. But if I compare your last works to the artwork you posted in May,it's obvious, that you really do much better now.

    It's good work, go on!

    cheers.

Man this one is really cool and if you compare it to the last one it's definitly more "alive". You're really productive. Nice to stop here and take a look from time to time. I also have this "stiffness problem" sometimes (uh...I mean not personally, but in my drawings ), but this should disappear with a little more routine I think (working stops me from drawing ).

So go on. See you next time!

Browsing through your sketchbook, I see lots of inspiration sources, you mix them together really nice! I get it you are a Warhammer 40k Player and read at least one Shirow Manga (methinks Appleseed). There are some Brom Dark Age elements. Jin-Roh is obvious as pointed out, but do I see some Danger Girl villains in there?
Your perspective and anatomy seems fine to me, the greatest problem I see you have with the eyes. They seem not to fit the proportion and perspective of the heads and are way to big (I know anime-style, but nevertheless).

Left to say, I really like your Mechs, Space Marines and Knights, I like the blend of fantasy with sci-fi elements. Your best I think is the ravenger (inked version).
The tank is cool, let's see some more tanks!
