    Carlos

Okay, at first glance Carlos here might look like your typical space marine...you know: foul mouth, bad temper, disrespect for authority yada yada, but what you donít know is that in addition to the loose-cannon hit-the-planet-hard nuke-the-site-from-orbit-itís-the-only-way-to-be-sure attitude heís good with kids, likes cooking and does a lot of work for charity in his spare time. what a guy.

I think this is my first post on CA...or i may of posted something a long long time ago. i can't remember. it was that long ago. anyhoo, i'm gonna start posting stuff up here with a touch more regularity from now on. honest.

looking for some critiques...just lay into it guys. i can take it.

The lack of hands and eyes is really disconcerting. The legs also seem a bit small compared to the massive upper body - it looks like faulty foreshortening is the cause there.

i would take his right leg (the closer one) and drop it down a tiny bit.
i would also darken it slightly, it'll add some space between the two.

well, to be honest the head was at the level of detail i was originally going for...i really needed to work some more detail into the armour. and now i'm really bothered about the lack of hands...gah! it's not that i can't draw hands. honest ^_^

i was worried about the barrel of the gun getting lost against the body, so i was mucking around with the lighting on his legs trying to make it stand out a little more. the problem was with the original drawing but by that point i'd got carried away with all the highlights and it wasn't worth going back and fixing it...better to start a new pic altogether, hey?
