Hurricane... I REALLY dig the first one! The light blues look rad. The female robot design is nicely done as well. Awesome! I'm not as fond of the second one, the glowing hands are nifty but I'm not sure what's over his face and the composition doesn't hold my interest as much as the first. Thanks for sharing!

Outstanding work! Great texture, mood, and composition on both pieces. When are you going to get yourself a website already? No more excuses!

you got some color skills there..
i just think you still need some more practice on your concept drawing.

really love these the first for its detail the second just for being cool (and I love the little skull in the eye, I'm a sucker for cliche), fantastic rendering of the tough old leather.

crit: the robot's right hand looks a bit odd because of the way the cable interacts with the othe dark areas.

    Nice !!!

Really cool pieces dude. Great mood on both of them.

My crits are : for the lady bot - the red highlights you gave her look nice and work good with the blue elements but you could give some about where are they comming from - like if there's some source of red light in the bottom there'd probably be some red color in the background in that area. About the Scarecrow-like guy - it lacks a bit anatomy, it looks cool at first sight because its finished and it has nice mood but when you look deeper into it - his far hand looks a bit weird - it probably look a bit different if you would like to show it at that angle. Also this piece has no clear focal point i think that the part with his eye under the hat would be a nice one but it could use some more contrast and also his both hands are burning(?) equaly bright which makes the eye jump between them a bit.

    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

    awesome work hurri

the first one is a lil too flat composition wise, and its all very cold, could use some more warms in there to really push up the cold blue, i mean i know their there just needs a lil more . Second one is nice to, i especially like the fingers.

vigostar : thanks for the input! about the characters, they are not mine (the design), they are both commission work so...

ArtisticSchmidt : Thanks for your point of view ! about the second character, the thing over his face is a cloth... and the composition well... i needed to alter it alittle so it would benefit the person who payed

    Atmospheria : Thanks

PHATandy : Thanks, i'll try to keep on fighting!

Exo : Thank you for your reply ! well, i have a portfolio... http://www.rainysaturday.com/Hurricane but it needs some more organisation and selection of pieces, i'll update it as i feel like it... (no, it holds to many pieces)

    Fellah. : Thanks !

    Danilo : Thanks hehe THIEF !!! j/k

Chuck, mate. : Thanks for your point of view! what do you mean when you say "i just think you still need some more practice on your concept drawing." ?
i would like if you answerd that

    Cold : Thank you mister

young paddy1 : Thanks for the reply ! and you are right about the hand, there is always stuff one wants to change that you see after you get paid for it, and of course the famous " Blind eye" that affects artists on their pieces... you dont see your own misstakes...

thirdeye : Thanks for taking time and replying! you are correct about what you say, i should really focus more on that, mostly on focal points and similar stuff...the hand is just a big misstake from my part... opend my eyes just alittle more ! THANKS

brkofdon : thanks for you reply ! but the design of the hat isnt mine, but you are right in what you say! thanks

jayne : Thank you for taking time to respond to my art! i'll try to put some more up in the "finally finnished" section..

Red_Rook : Thanks for dropping by man! good points, i actually had more red parts/warmer areas, but they got lost... oh well thanks again!

Thank you all for taking the time to drop by and giving me your point of view !
some are just that (point of views) so i'll take some into my heart and some will i just think about ! J/K

    cheers!

and have a very very merry christmas!! (WHAT??!!)

I really enjoy them both, and my first instincts have already been reflected in the comments before me, but I just had to add mine anyway because these are so great.

I also think those little glowing glyphs/writing on the robot add a lot, both in terms of detail and intrigue. I think it might be neat to see a tiiiiny bit more detail in the near background, just so that it fades more gradually.

That creature in the second one is just cool, and the glow on the hands is very effective (I like how you made the fingers so dark in the glow). It has a lot of attitude and you rendered leather so well.

well what i meant was you need to do some research about the things you want/need to draw. look at other artists work for inspiration or references..
really get knee-deep in the understanding of the character/mech/enviroment/clothing/skin-tones/anatomy/textures/light+shade and all the other factors that make for great concept art.
i do think however that your works are good. i just know they could be alot better.
i`d like to see some more.

    the glowing runes are baddass.
my critic would be on the upper arms and knees, its left upper arm below the shoulder by above the elbow bugs me a little.
but yeah, the runes drew my attention away from all that.
