Mr.Blonde: hahaha, wow, you haven't posted here since like July 3rd. hehe, there hasn't been much to post about. thanks for the avater comment. yes, Loomis was a mastermind. i study him avidly.. like a religion. and the only reason i watched Pearl Harbor was to study that girl in it as well as the planes. she's smokin.
pennington: thank you, i'm studying away.
dead boy: nice to see you here. i def will! thanks!
Deselect: thank you, yes Loomis is the shnizats.

No updates for a month or so. Gorsh, i'm sorry. Right now my scanner isn't working with my Photoshop CS or CS2. Whenever it scans something, Photoshop says that there's too much RAM being used and shuts down Photoshop. It's freakin annoying, since I've been sketching in my artbook for weeks now with somewhat decent art to show. Oh well...

I'm starting a 30 minute paint of environment and anything that inspires me every night before I go to bed. So far I've been able to keep the pace at 3 images in the past three nights... but with my past dedication to these sort of things, I dont think it'll last long.

This is a 30 min speedpaint of Rachael Leigh Cook - she's hot in this pic, but some other pics make her look way non-attractive.

Here's a little environment that I did and am somewhat proud of. Though my clouds suck as an elephant, I'm starting to realize the shapes and shadows are what make a piece and not the linework (well actually this book made me realize this... I wish I could have revelations like that - hah). 30 min.

Oh yeah, I've been playing Doom 3 for about an hour and a half each day, so be ready for some fan art from that freakish game.

hey man, you got some good stuff here, your paintings are getting better, I like your shirt design alot. Are you familiar with the artist called sparth? I don't know if you are or not, but I would look at some of his stuff or some traditional speed painting stuff and just practice off of those. Let's see some more

stourangeau: thank you very much! i will!

OBX: thanks! i will try to post regularly - but with school and that sort of stuff, it's hard enough to just get some art in on the weekends!

zao75231: no man, never heard of the artist SPARTH. is he/her on the forums here? and could you give me a link of where i could see his/her images? thanks for your compliments!

Cold: oo thank you, man! that's my best piece to date - but i also used 12 hours to finish it... hehe.. if only i could spend that much time on all my art - then maybe i could be a pro.

And now for the HUGE dump. Ha, not huge compaired to some masterful artists (ie. Hurri, Fellah, to name a few)
Here's some Loomis girl studies - i must learn this because i like drawing girls and girls make me happy.
▌MATTS ARCHIVE ▌DEC 30, 2006 ▌Last post... ▌

Some stuff drawn after drooling over Simon Fellah's doodles.
▌MATTS ARCHIVE ▌DEC 30, 2006 ▌Last post... ▌

    A zombie t-shirt concept... "uhhhhhhhhhgggg!!!"
▌MATTS ARCHIVE ▌DEC 30, 2006 ▌Last post... ▌

Yet another Zombie design, but for my friend who is going to get this tatooooooed on his arm.
▌MATTS ARCHIVE ▌DEC 30, 2006 ▌Last post... ▌

Aieeepp! - more zombiess... they feeeed on the flesssssshhhhhhhhhh!!!
▌MATTS ARCHIVE ▌DEC 30, 2006 ▌Last post... ▌

Some stuff done in math - as you can see I had a computer with images.google.com open on the browser. Hehe - oh and the funny thing is that that i was drawing lions and the search came up to this like "Lion King" type of stallion - so i was like, "Sweet, i'll draw this cool lookin horse!"
▌MATTS ARCHIVE ▌DEC 30, 2006 ▌Last post... ▌

My desperate attempts at perspective and other stuff that excited me at the time. I know i know, the bottom left guy's leg muscles are messed - that's what you get for drawing in ink all the time. argg!
▌MATTS ARCHIVE ▌DEC 30, 2006 ▌Last post... ▌

More random doodles - and no that guy on the top left isn't doing anything to that kind farmer girl. I've told my friends already that she's picking corn and that guy in the background is just standing there. GOSH!
▌MATTS ARCHIVE ▌DEC 30, 2006 ▌Last post... ▌

Monster! This monster design (bottom left) came to me out of a quick sketch of a lady in my spanish class. When i sketched her it was all scribbley, then the next day i looked at the sketch and it looked like this monster. so cool - almost like making images out of clouds. ha!
▌MATTS ARCHIVE ▌DEC 30, 2006 ▌Last post... ▌

A landscape sort of thing in my sketchbook... oh and Loomis anatomy studes.

You've got some cracking inks and traditional stuff, but this is easily my fav. Hints of a distinct style emerging in places too. No crits at the moment. Lazy Pete, lazy! Great stuff m'man.

Summer Pudding: I am honored by your comment. thank you! no one ever has recognized that one since the DSG last year...

A little concept that is about a little girl who is sad because she has tatoos that she has been birthed with, and the winged guy is sort of comforting her. Done without sleep because sleep is too overrated when it comes to having fun drawing.
